Some defensive people use an eth version of them for the extra defense it adds. It also gives a lot of poison resist which is good vs. p nova necros / venom assassins, rabies druids, poison stacking zons .... etc.

Also the FHR and the strength and vitality are also good.

it's a good boot overall, eth version is often used in pvp, but you are not restricted to pvp if you use these boots. They work just as good in pvm
