I picked up a socketed Jared's Stone the other day with 3 sockets in it. As far as I can tell, there are no rune words for a Jared's stone with 3 sockets. Anyone have any suggestions on what to put into it? I am building a Meteorb sorceress currently at lvl 24, following the guide pretty closely.

Does it have good +skills? If so, what are they?

Either way.... can't go wrong with 3 Io's (+30 Vit total)

Ditch it then... the +skills on orbs are the only good things to them. Go find another with better plus skills or save pgems and get yourself an occy! You can't go wrong there.

if it had some nice +skills I might put 3 Tirs in it for a total of +6 mana/kill.
As far as rune words, the only one I can think of that might work is Venom, and that probably isn't useful for you.

I don't think orbs are even considered melee weapons so the only runewords that might possibly work are ones that say "all weapons"

I believe they would... since Barbs Helm and Zon Bows get RW capabilities.

Last time I checked, if you equip an orb and attack a monster you run up to the monster to hit it. It doesn't shoot arrows or anything like that.

well here's what AS says on the subject:
Melee Weapons = Any weapon that isn't ranged such as a Sword or Hammer. A Bow or Crossbow is a ranged weapon. Sorceress Orbs are not considered Melee Weapons.
Missile Weapons = Bows and Crossbows
Weapons = Melee Weapons, Missile Weapons, Orbs

Yup, so the only runeword that can be made in an Orb is Venom. That's not very nice of them to do to us...:p Last I checked that RW was useless, too.

I never said melee guys. I just said RW's are possible in it. :)

Find orbs in Hell as most of them can spawn with really good mods. Get some that has +Meteor and +Orb. Those can help a lot.
