I guess this is a noob question, but I might as well ask
on USEast NL I have seen a couple of games where people are offering jah, zod, ohm, vex, ber for two sojs each
I know they've been getting hard to find, but it smells of a scam to me (i.e. these are non permed dupes).
Anybody have any insight? I could really use that nigma, but... :P

its most likely a scam. The runes have about a 110% chance of going by by once you get them.
But i'm sure they'll take advantage of people who don't know that.

I couldn't agree more :)
if you are going to trade for them
have the armor and the other runes you need for your runeword and make it right away

It probably isn't a scam. Highrunes on East and West tend to be quite cheap, especially nonladder. Here on Europe NL HR's are worth at best 2ist+um and sojs are about ist in value.
Permed or not permed - perming runes is a myth. If they are dupes (most are) - chances are they will disappear - after a minute, week, year, never? If you want cheap high runes you might just as well take that risk.

I would 2.
It is after all only a game, if u loose out , no biggy :)
before u make the trade though :
I would ask him if he has anything else for trade like enigmas or hotos, if he has both , and a few other 'godly' itemz I would be a bit sus though, since not many legit ppl can afford that stuff.
If he is just wearing some decent but not godly gear then he could well be legit.
