Hi,

Im gonna make a pure fanaranger. I loved my shocker one back in 1.09 but now I need some help with this one. Me equipment will probaly be :
Vampire Gaze
Don't know for armor, maybe duriels shell or lionheart?
Windforce
Razortail
Gore riders or Waterwalks
Laying of Hands
Cat's Eye
2x Ravenfrosts
On the switch a demonlimb for enchant

Where do I have to put my skillpoints in next to 20 in fana? I could max holy shock or holy freeze but Im afraid I'll get AR-problems.

If someone could give me some advise on the armor and the skillpoints, thanks you. :)

I think that the wf ( but aint totally clear)wont cut it but a widowmaker might do it (if your lookin in the PvP section)
I guess the only option is a botd crusader bow or something like a Faith (than you dont have to put points in fana(assuming your ladder))

And if you have ar problems you maybe can slap on angelic's for ar.

Thats my point but you should w8 for more answers to come.

Does the blessed aim-AR bug still works? I thought this was only in 1.09. How much AR do you get then?

I Prefer WF obove Widowmaker because of the better dmg and knockback. Won't i get AR problems if I use WF? Ravenfrosts, Fana and Blessed Aim bug would take care of it I think...

I have played tons of fanatic rangers, mostly for pvp. When it comes to pvm and pvp, its quite simple. Damage is king, as is knockback. the bow I found that didn't cut it was the widowmaker, and i could fire 4k, 100 ds arrows from it. for pvm, there are many many great bows. Windforce is a good one. Witchwild string offers tons of good mods and as a diamond bow, that min/max gap is great. Surprisingly, upped Goldstrike arch and upped kuko killed faster than any other bow I have played pvm with, except possibly buriza. If you use the gsa, then go with like Laying of hands and some Deadly strike (highlords/gores are good). If you use the kuko, use a razortail for 66 (or is it 99?) pierce and get some good mods to go with (crushing blow, +damage, whatever you can get). It does really really well. You will need a fairly strong merc. Holy freeze or might are my 2 favorite aura choices, and a barb merc is actually very good, too. With the downfall of sword barbs since .09, there are even a lot of great swords he could use that are good and cheap, like grandfather, doom bringer, old cruels, take your pick. With fanat, arreats, and an armor (take your pick), I predict 4-5k damage easily on any of these weapons and good tanking capability, too.

Most fana rangers cannot achieve the higher damage of an elemental ranger and get stuck on phys immunes. Go for a double or triple elemental ranger for some real kick butt killing power. Try the new runeword combos to see what works for you. Faith would be pretty neat combined with a strong elemental attack, since it's not maxed fana it won't give a huge bonus to damage or ias.

Try a widowmaker for the GA and you dont have to worry about the AR. Or, you could try a witchwild which gives some pretty nice mods and has two sockets(two 40/15's if you can get them would be nice). Razortail would be good choice for the belt for the pierce, LoH is Ok for gloves but I would try for some crafted kb/ias gloves(sweet). i would do 1 Raven for a ring and try for a nice rare ring with resistances and them fill your inventory with resistance charms since rangers hurt for reistsances.

I have tried all sorts of rangers, and once you get some big damage bows (wf here, buriza, etc.) its the elemental that can't compete. Far less pis than lightning or cold immunes, and you shoot faster easier. Also, you have a much better chance to hit via attack rating, at least. Also,t here are tons of physical damage mods available anyhere (crushing blow, deadly strike), but few available to elemental users. Personally, give me the fanatic ranger any day of the week.

How much damage would a upped Goldstrike Arch do? The damage could be competable with WF and it is faster. I could socketed it with a nef for the kb. Anyone know this?

vs demons/undead, its comparablel to if not superior to a wf. against everything else, you get 238 max damage (I have ALL of the upped bows I talk about.) you should get about 4k-5k max damage out of it, not huge, but very very reasonable and huge damage to demons/undead as well. don't bother with a nef rune...get that elsewhere. use Lo for ds, ber for cb, resist all jewel, ed jewel (probably what I would do), etc.

if you need KB then craft some hit power gloves..

So what would you recommon? A WF or a upped Goldstrike.

Pvp, without question, the windforce. As this is likely pvm, then go with the upped gsa. It gives a nice ar bonus, the extra damage to demons/undead, and its socket allows you to put something good in. You can craft good kb gloves without fear of ias needs with the upped gsa, and go with something useful for a belt over razortail. Without pierce from the bow, razor just isn't worth it. good luck!

How do I deal with the Resistance Isue. I will use Lionheart, wich will be the only resistance I get.
Does the passive resist bug still work? If yes, how much +resist will you get when you put a point in Resist fire, cold, lightning?
My skills would be :
