View Full Version : redeemer's demon damage
hello, i was wondering if the +200-250% ed against demons on the redeemer is considered ed on the weapon (and hence ed outside of the weapon, aura ed boosts and the strength bonus multiplies this), or is the demon damage ed just considered an ed boost outside of the weapon?

thank you mister point. i'm making a demon killer and it would've been great if the redeemer worked the other way; it's still good as is, and i still plan on using it regardless, but it would've been great the other way!

I think a redeemer coupled with those set gloves (rgr cant remember name but they give 350% ed to demons) and lotsa CB/DS Would be wickedly insane against clone...make a hf zealot outta it maybe...use zeal hed gain 600%ed to demons.
BUT would that work on CB or DS like add 6*CB or 6*DS (for example do 1k cb damage with it on ud do 6k to a demon)

hello, crushing blow is independent of your weapon's damage i believe. it just does damage equal to some fraction of the target's life, depending on what difficulty setting it is on and what type of target you are hitting. however, with deadly strike, you'll get twice the damage, so 600% ed against demons with effective deadly strike would be 1200%! at least this is how i think deadly strike works.

%ED to demons or undead, always counts as an off-weapon modifier, even if it's on the weapon.
Weapon Damage = {[Weapon Base Damage * (1 + On-weapon ED%/100)] + Min/Max Damage} * (1 + aura ED%/100 + Strength/100 + Off-weapon ED%/100)

hello bob (or killjoy), from your post i believe the answer will be "yes," but i figure i may as well ask anyway: does this apply to an "edge" runeword bow as well?...now this bow doesn't look as great as it did initially, heh.

I don't play on the realms (or hardly at all), so i don't have any direct experience with that runeword:
Level 15 Thorns Aura When Equipped
+35% Increased Attack Speed
+320-380% Damage To Demons (varies)
+280% Damage To Undead
+75 Poison Damage Over 5 Seconds
7% Life Stolen Per Hit
Prevent Monster Heal
+5-10 To All Attributes (varies)
+2 To Mana After Each Kill
Reduces All Vendor Prices 15%!!!
However, the formula should work pretty much the same, except for substituting dexterity for strength:
Bow Damage = {[Weapon Base Damage * (1 + On-weapon ED%/100)] + Min/Max Damage} * (1 + aura ED%/100 + Dexterity/100 + Off-weapon ED%/100)
