Vengeance pala vaible in hell ?

I,m thinking to build one for pvm.
But can the do hell and will the have mutch trouble with baal minions on hell? i mean the vengeance skill does not have a very fast attack speed. (so far i know) And i,m thinking to use conviction and salvation. as main auras.
Whats a good weapon for a pala like this and should i max holy shield or only put 10 points in it?

yes its one of the best solo and team builds for hell.

Conviction breaks immunities.
Use a baranars star or a nords tenderizer with ias jewel eventually. Both are cheap. A Botd if you are rich.
If you can get a HoZ and have full res in hell, you shouldnt have much problems with baal minions except Listers minions.

Dont use Salvation, use Conviction only, try to get some mana after each kill/steal instead and keep vengeance at one point.

my favorite build:
1 vengeance
15-20 conviction
20 Holy Shield (1+ if you use exile and have much +skills)
20 light res (synergy)
20 fire res (synergy)
rest cold res (synergy)

I already got sick of my Avenger pally after I completed Normal with him. :(

Vengenace does add a lot of elemental damage to his attack, and Conviction will make sure that monsters do indeed take a lot of damage from him, but the main problem I have with him is that you have to attack every single monster out there manually!

You'll notice that all the fast-killing characters in the game (hammerdins, sorcs, trap assassins) do Area-of-Effect damage. Even Zealots will attack multiple targets if they are near; Avengers just swing once and that's it.

I know there are a lot of people who like playing Avengers or Concentrate barbs, but I got really frustrated when my lvl 45 pally got stuck in the normal River of Flame because Blood Maggots crawled from their eggs faster then I could kill them. :(

Maybe other people can give you the few great tips that I would have needed to make my pally great, but I didn't like the guy much.

my 2 cents :
i used to play avengers, and believe me with the right gear and the right merc, it's one of the best melee character. My advice : get yourself a holy freeze merc (he will benefits from your convict aura) and a stormlash weapon, and you're ready for hell.

To Schnorres. I was thinking about using salvation because it gives good resist and i dont have a hoz yet for my pally so i,m using a stormshield instead.
