hello, just a quick question, does the magic damage from the sanctuary aura get added to your attack, or is this magic damage only applied in the knockback effect on undead monsters?

i think the magic dmg only applies to the knockback effect, not ur attack.
from arreat summit:
"Sanctuary Receives Bonuses From
Cleansing: +7% Magic Damage Per Level to knockback effect only "
when u think about it, if the same displayed magic dmg is added to ur attack, then why would a synergy only add to the knockback effect?
the extra ~100 magic dmg wouldn't matter much anyway. sanctuary gives a HUGE enhanced dmg for melee attacks vs undead.
thanks for replying. i was looking for an extra source of magic damage. i guess sanctuary won't do.

if u want some magic dmg, azurewrath and famine runeword both give quite a bit. if u're on ladder u can also try oath runeword, which has 30% chance to cast lvl 20 bone spirit (~400 dmg) on striking. synergize that with marrowwalk and it's ~1200 dmg.

Actually, that ed% is bugged. It simply doesn't work. What does make a difference is that Sanctuary sets the damage resist of any undead monster in range to 0. That causes the damage increase.

whoa...never knew that. has it been tested? good thing u stopped me. for a minute i considered making a pvm undead hunter zealot lol.

I have been hearing that a lot about Marrowalk and bone spirt etc ...How does that work ? how can there be a synergie there when all you got on those boots are charges of bone spirit, I have heard that there is a bug of some sort

Just like with the necro's use of marrowwalk bug, the bone prison charges on the marrowwalk acts as a synergy to the bone skills as long as those particular bone skills are to all characters and not just necro specific.
