Help Pala Zeal/Smite!!

I have a lvl 85 pala! Zeal/Smite pala!!
my question is: Wich is the best equip for my pala?
Atm i have a grief pb 398 , a exile in sup kurast +40all res... i want to know wich other items i can use... i have another question why use draculs gloves if exile casts life tap on strike to ? ... and the final question the ed% on fortitude work on smite? so use fortitude or coh for my type of paladin?

I found a +ed/ar Exile worked better for my smiter/zealot. But the res can be handy vs casters.

Can't argue with grief, it's a great weapon for a smiter, +damage rocks, and there is a good amount of it combined with IaS, deadly strike and posion. If I was ladder this would be my weapon of choice...

As to why you would use Drac's + Exile. Open Wounds and +Str, some prefer to use STeelrends because of the ED + good crushing blow, but I find the str on Steels is to high to make it worth it.

Can't comment on the ED working with Smite as I'm not 100% on how ED,+min/max damage works with smite.

What helm are you planning on using? CoA is a good choice for DR + res, and the 2 socs are begging for pretty jewels/runes. But the req str on it is quite high, which sometimes puts me off it.

I would reccomend the obvious extra equipment. Verdugoes Belt, Highlords Amulet (ias + ds + skills), Gore Riders (they're great) as for rings I would try to get +str/des/all res ones and wear them.

So yea, you can prolly ignore all that I've said, or not. Your call :xsmile4:

As gloves i was thinking in a pair of gloves i have.. crafted ones.. that gives 20ias + 10crush + 6ll + 15 life + 26 light res + some crap stats...
About the helm i was thinking in shako cause coa requires to many strg...
Still confused about the armor i should use ... coh or fotitude :S..

i have a similar build, and i cant really tell whether fortitude adds to smite dmg b/c it kills so fast with grief already, but even if it doesnt it will help your zeal out...

Enhanced Damage on Fortitude works with Smite... very nicely to say the least ;)
