I would make a guide for this build, but its really not too tough. I've been using a full griz set for the last 2 weeks in pubbies and have had great success.
The set was expensive to build, and I used a good deal of high runes. 3x Ber Shield/2x Ber Helm/2xBer 2x Um Caddy/Cham 2xUm armor. Other Gear includes str/dex/resists rings, Tgods Belt & Dracs (bm/cheap), Maras ammy and Gores as boots. Charms are 5x Combats/2 Off Aura/2x +15%res/1x +2X Light res grand. The remaining space is crammed with one anni and 9x Light res smalls. I know that he is in the 5 Frame Hit recovery bracket.
He plays like every other v/t Ive had, but seems to hit harder, and live longer. @ lvl 90, he has 3k hp with a lame Cta, has 55% Crushing Blow/85% Open wounds/40% damage reduction/Stacked resists (for tanking foh blasts).
His foh dmg is around 2.2k/Smite is 1700-2300/Charge 1900-2400.
I am not the type to argue with people in pubbie games, but I have gotten a lot of flack for using this build type with this set. It goes mostly underestimated in games. This is Non-Ladder, and I can't wait for all the new runewords to filter down after season has ended.
Thus far the only characters that regularly beat him are Necros & Druids with summon mobs acting as body shields. I don't see many pure smiters in Pubbies, though the few I've dueled have ended with me alive with less than 200 life and they dead. Im sure that a well planned smiter or a godly zealot could take this guy out.
I've been using pallys for years, and I always wanted to use griz set for pvp. Id suggest this build to any v/t fan with runes to burn. He is Bad mannered, but thats what pubbies are all about. With little or no changes for gear Im sure that he would do great as a pure charger/smiter or some variety mix. I may even make a char just for the set (its not on a planned char) to optimize the set. Heck, I may even take away his Tgods and Dracs and go with a non-bm, though I doubt it. (Clan 76legit has too many rules.)
