View Full Version : *OT* NEW DISCOVORY (might help in duel games)

Well, i was watching my friend Jawsofthirst duel (im sure everybody on west knows him, all.eyez.on.me) He owned 2 people, one ALMOST died, but ahh well, 10 percent chicken or lucky flux :) One more dueler joined the game named BMTPPK (...) easy duel for jaws, fluxxed him once. He came again, and jaws was waiting for him way outside the camp. He started running out and i tried to type in "he is coming right now, have a gg" but accidently press the @ button trying to capitalize (SP?). I only typed in @he is. Strangley, a message a appeared saying "he is not in the game" and the upper left corner. I try again and again, asking the other dueleres to try it out.. i thought it cool. But then i started typing peoples names in, everybody did same.. it was fun i guess.. Then jaws type another duelrs name with hi after it... i tried it to him.. and it whisperd him.. COOL! So now i think i have discovored a new way to whisper, typing it the @ sign, a players name, then your message. (EX: @jawsofthirst hi) try it out yourself, its pretty cool :)

Edit: Fixxed like 100 words for spelling :) Also, the player has to be in the game, so its handy just whipsering people

Heh, yeah, that's pretty old, pre 1.1. I think in .09 though the sign was ^. Good show, though, didn't think of telling people on these forums. Never came to mind.

Ya i learned that accidently awhile back. Was tring to type something along the line of @cat2 wp and got the user not on msg.

Even more fun is telling people to type "soundchaosdebug" no slashes or quotes or anything. Of course, don't tell them how to stop it.

I remember a long time ago when I was trying to discuss skills for a conc barb with Azazaz (probably early .09 at least) and you couldn't have the word 'shout' as the first word in a sentence. I was going 'shout or leap' and it just said 'or leap'. I found that funny for a whole two tries.

lol yeah that was strange....musta sat there typing the same message back and forth for like 15 minutes before we figured out what was going on
