I am proud to announce that today, at 9:07 Eastern Time, Baal was slain for the first time, untwinked, by a group from these forums, that we know of (to this date).

We also killed Nihlathak.

I will congratulate the players present:

Chuck was the most important character there, without a doubt.

Hi East,

Congradulations on your Guardianships. It must be extra sweet getting them without having the benefit of extra life from a BO Barb or a Druid's Oak.

Hell Nik and his CE's always give a good addrennelin rush, as does Lister and crew. Hopefully you didn't have too many gloams or dolls onto the way to the throne room.

Again ... excellent job, and good luck (better drops) in your next team adventuring.

Yes we definately did do it the hard way not only because we lost our druid and barb but our gear was terrible. I think oxys was ok, p crown whitstans, smoke armor, not sure on olther stuff. My final gear as a trapsin was

2 plus 3 shadow claws for prebuff
plus 3 traps, plus 2 all claws
ral, thul, ort 3 socket chain mail lol
glooms belt ?
14 resist all ring, other ring had some resists
lore shako
2 to traps ammy
30 fire 39 resist 10 mf 20 rw rare boots
resist gloves

My merc did end up with an insight war scythe (3 secs later we found a 4 sock thresher (doh) which proved to be invaluable..no more mana pots and more life pots. Smoke diamond mail from rathi and sigs helm.

You guys should post your gear on here too. As oxy said, this is the first untwinked group on East to finish that we know of, and I Have been in the last 10 of them or so, lol. BEfore this the furthest I had made it was into act 1 nm, so this has been a special group. I believe we only have 1 opening for KTA2 so and I believe there have been 3 people interested so far, majestic, mkiller, and full_circle. Majestic was first tro sign up but basically whoever is going to be most committed will get the spot (starting with majestic) miss's really hurt cohesivesness, especially for someone new where the other 7 of us have played together and it took getting to hell before we finally started playing as a team (cept cough cough Valar).

The builds that I know of are:

Me-Frenzy Barb w/ Shout
Chuck- ww/conc barb w/bo
Rathi-summon necro
Tooie-Hammerdan
Matt- CB/orb sorcy
Valar-Fire claws/paws druid
oxy-some sort of ma assassin

The 8th spot can be anything they want really but those are what we have so far just to let everyone know. See every one on Monday

well, it seems as though we have quite a few more people interested than the one spot we have available, so we might want to start talking about a KTAeast 2.1 also. First though, I talked to chuck about thursdays and he is oging to miss ta least a couple of those whereas wednesday are better, but if they are better for everyone else he said its fine he will just miss a couple. So far we have gotten the following interested in playing the last spot:

We can only take 1 and if there is some more interest maybe a ktaeast2 can be started...

ha ya orginally I had a lore circlet but when t he 2 socket shako fell, I had to make another one so it would at least look like i had good gear heh.
