View Full Version : Be happy for me!
I think i've finally done it. I've cured my diablo 2 addiction. I haven't played in months and don't regret it. My new addiction however is madden 2005 online and WoW. DAMN BLIZZARD FOR MAKING THERE GAMES SO GOOD, and damn Kearse for getting me so many sacks! So how is everyone?
Also everyone thats playing WoW needs to post there account name. I'd be willing to start over to play with people from the forums.

Account name: Cleglaw
Server: Dalaran PvE USEast I believe
I also would be willing to restart (?on PvP server) as it is a real pain trying to team up sometimes for some quests.
Clean for over a month...my new addiction is reading and schoolwork.
Damn, 2 posts in one day. And I’m such a good lurker.
Anyways, just wondering how you like WoW dahk, I played the beta:
NE rogue
dwarf hunter
undead mage
all were PvM servers, and after reading up on the PvP servers it seems like something I might enjoy. The thing that bugs me though is the lack of item differentiation. I don’t believe I ever made it over 20 on any single char before the end of the beta, but it just seemed as if it might get boring quickly. Ids appreciate it if you, and any other HC diabloii players, would throw me some insight as to your feelings about the game now that you’ve been playing it for awhile. As for the diabloii addiction I just can’t seem to enjoy spending time with anything besides PvP, and as you all know chicken makes this hell for anything but chargadins. But yeah, I was going to see what Guild Wars was all about before deciding on WoW or not, but I’d really appreciate some opinions from yall.- being that you also shared the d2 addiction and we all know evercrack was nothing comparison to what we have harbored for this damn game =) it good to hear from you dahk and I hope that everything is going well for you.
Regards,

10 chars...
The addiction is fading in me as well. Looking forward to KTA 9.0, but thats about it. I might just end up with WoW as well, but tell me...there is no gurantee that I end up on the same servers as my friends...?

Yes, you can choose which realm you play on from the start. There is a button at top of char creation screen which says 'Change Realms'. However, once you have 1 char on a realm, that char can't be transferred to another. You have to start over on the new realm.
Hey everyone. Its nice to know that you guys are doing good. Hrm my thoughts on wow. Well right now the pvp system isn't that great however its pretty much expected in a new game. They do however seem to be dedicated in this game. There is already preveiws for battle grounds which seem pretty fun and will be added soon. Overall i've had a blast playing WoW. It really depends on how much 12-15 dollars a month is for you.
My alliance server is Stormreaver, and i'm still deciding on a horde server. BTW phantom are you horde or alliance.
Give me your aim and i'l give you a message jason.

Alliance. .
Dahkar, congrats on your efforts!
I thought this was as good a place as any to post - I haven't played for quite a while, maybe 8 months or so? I've also deliberately stayed away from this forum, because it did feed my addiction :( It's good to see some familiar faces here.
I hope all is well with all of you. Hi Jason! Best wishes to all of you and your families in the New Year.
I've replaced my gaming addiction with another hobby - cars. I'm doing some mechanical work on my '70 Mustang and my longer term plan is to try road racing.
I have to admit that this is the time of year I feel weakest. I've visited the Guild Wars site a few times. Is it okay to mention that here? :D I'm not going to buy a new game though, I just end up sinking too much time in them.
Take care, everyone.

I've missed you Mike! :) It's been a while, hasn't it? Well, you know I'll be here forever, so I'm not too far away. When GW comes out I'll probably pick it up though, so you should maybe buy it too and get addicted with me.

Or you 2 can buy wow and get addicted to it like I am. I'l prolly buy GW and try it out though. I'm worried about how they will keep hacks out and if it will turn into another d2.

Guild Wars or World of Warcraft? In either case, hacks will always be there. It'll just take time.

LuckyGuild Wars is nothing but amazing. No-one makes serious hacks that will ruin gameplay so much, like map hack or the tppk scripts.

Hey Jason,
I have to admit I am very tempted. My best memories of Diablo are worshiping your characters and trying to be as good as you at the game. Fun times!! Say hi to Frank and David if they're still around, would you?
I love gaming and I think GW looks like a blast. I can really feel the dark side calling me. I'm just lucky my old Dell abacus hasn't died on me yet, because if I had a PC that could run a modern game I would have an even tougher time resisting. :xsmile4:
Take care!
