People too scared?

I assembled my first pk char for this ladder (lvl 25 kicksin gogo cheapness), and seems to me that people are either too scared or all into chicken.

My usual area is baalruns. I enter game let them go to throne, hostile and... 2-4 leave the momment i click the button and the rest immediately after. Quite often I am the only player in the game before I can even use the WP. The worst think about chickeners is that they get other people to quit too. When you get hostiled and see that 3 people left game already, you think "oh I'd better follow them". Honestly how many chances do I have if I fight vs 7 people lvl 25-45? Correct I am Mr.Deeds. Maybe 1/10 baal runs there are 2-3 peope left down there so I can get a kick in.

I got more luck getting people staying and making the fight in ancients, quests or higher lvls helping in lower acts since they dont feel this "rush to exit" syndrome. Maybe my next char will be a nice sacadin, since I had much less trouble getting fights with him.

If you're on east, I'll duel you with my level 21 amazon... honestly, it will probably end in a draw, as both kickers and jabbers have lots of life and lower damage, give me a whisper if you're on east, *Talarra

Unfortunately Im at Europe. My main concern is pk since it is most fun all the rush, I can cover for mediocre EQs and low lvl duels... well if lvl 60 is low depends on your definition...

when that hostile buzzer goes off in a baal run, people assume TPPK -- if they knew it was a legit PK who had to actually run all the way down there, they would probably stay in the game until they saw you approach

thats how it worked in pre-chicken era of d2, but people would still flux if you hostiled when they were too close to a town entrance, waypoint, or if you got too close to them

Another part of your problem may be that you're using a fairly obvious build. Level 25 Assassins tend to frighten people. You might have better luck with something that's not so well known.

a nice druid pally barb and even lvl 30ish sorc will get some ppl to laugh at you (not so much pally) but they see druids especially and say "haha noob". I would include necros in here however with tppk necros and zons around the 45 mark seem to be the primary choice wpn. Its good advice finding a char/class that ppl are not expecting. However I dont think that ppl doing baal runs should fear a lvl 25 asn anyways, but alas its the world of maphack and chicken.

I wouldn't do baal runs with lvl 40+ bone necros/zons in the game. But I always assume TPPK in a baal run and most pkers have chicken anyways so it's not like they're worth fighting. But it's hilarious when I go into a random game and then hostile everyone and then watch half the people leae.

in this case you definitely want them thinking you are a noob..

at level 25, your best bet is asking for someone to do ancients for you.... get more and more angry when no one feels like doing it. Then hostile the party and keep asking for ancients (while you are running down to throne).
