a demon xbow has -60 base speed with the runeword Faith added would this be the fastest shot compared to a matron bow or whatever?

possibly the fastest weapon in the game at that point for ranged attacks

xbows generally fire slower than bows tho. a normal demon crossbow (-60) attack is 12fpa, and a normal blade bow (-10) attack is also 12fpa. matriarchal bow (-10) is also 12fpa. notice the difference in base weapon speed.

using the weapon speed calc, i also noticed that xbow strafe is capped at 3fpa, while bow strafe is capped at 2fpa. i would choose matriarchal or grand matron bow over xbows any day.

bows will always be faster than xbows, and the fastest bows? just check AS for all the -10 bows.

the fastest bows are:
Blade Bow 21 to 41 (31 Avg)
Great Bow 12 to 52 (32 Avg)
Matriarchal Bow 20 To 47 (33.5 Avg)

looking at the dmg, matriarchal bow would be the ideal choice (not to mention it has +3 bow skills). but unlike the first 2 bows, which can both have a maximum of 4 sockets, matriarchal bows can have up to 5 sockets, which makes Faith a lot harder to make. u'll also wanna make sure it's +3 skills.

Ya ok.. so technical, so shot for shot Matriarchal Bow or Demon Xbow which is faster, if I had a character editor I'd like to make both and try them out, can anyone help or know what a good program is called? thx.

AznAvatar already mentioned that xbows are capped at 11/3 firing rate while bows could go as fast as 7/2. Xbows simply can't compare with bows in terms of speed.
