I like the idea of having knockback, and who doesn't like IAS, so possibly nef+shael?
are there better options?
thanks.

Knockback is nice, but I cant advocate sheal sheal enough. I use a double shael WWS and have no knockback and I honestly dont feel the need for it. I do alot of pit and river of flame runs and all I ever use is my merc, valk and a decoy if I need an extra distraction. I suppose you could nef/shael it and then if you ever find some nice knockback gloves clean it out and double sheal it. But like I said I personally dont feel the need. Thats just my opinion and its your zon so do what feels good. What would this game be if we all had chars that were exactly the same? (what? we already do?!! :P) Have fun with it.
A quick edit: I wanted to say crafted hit power gloves always spawn with knockback. If you get lucky you might get some sweet mods to go with it. IAS or something. Ort, jewel, Perf Saph, and chain gloves.

i guess shael shael was the other option. i hadn't thought of crafting gloves, i spose i'll have a go at getting some decent mods. thanks for the reply.
if you can find enough ias elsewhere, then nef shael it. its nice having knockback, a little added insurance for that annoying strafe-lock, but like sayyajin said, you can always get merc/valk to tank.

my valk can tank pretty much on her own as it is, and with a few more levels and better equipment my merc will can put up a fight. I've had a couple of goes at crafting some gloves, nothing decent yet but i can wait. does the type of glove (ie chain glove/heavy brace/vambrace) have any impact on the mods?
It doesn't matter if its chain, heavy bracer, or vambraces. Item level is what matters. The easisest way i've found for getting them is gambling them from anya in act 5 hell. Those should be able to spawn when any mod you want when you craft them.

Makes no difference which NPC or which Difficulty you gamble those gloves from. The key is your char lvl. This will determine the item lvl of the gloves you gambled for (iirc gambled ilvl = clvl +/- 5 ) & subsequently the mods.
Shael/nef or shael/shael are both valid choices, depending on your other ias gear. A high +min damage is also very effective in the wws as the damage range is so tight it will up the max damage as well. Ohm is another good choice for an upgraded wws.

I've been crafting Vambraces only to keep the def higher in the chance of good mods for another charcter class trade (or twink) if I don't get the Zon mods I want? Is my thinking off :xmad:
Seems the chain gloves stay quite low on the Def side with the H/bracers not much better. Course I just started shooting for decent HP gloves, have a few Crafter that have turned out nice...

I just put nef in my second slot, shael in the first of course.
I had been waiting around for a second shael, but I really missed knockback, and I couldn't recall where I was getting it before.
I love knockback as a strafer.
I might be able to get it by another means later, but I nef'd it because, the wws I have, is actually worse than the listed worse in the items database. I'm not kidding...lol
So I'm not going to upgrade this one, I'll hold out for a better wws and hopefully find knockback on something else, though I don't know what.
shael/shael would be my first choice, if you can do without knockback. I couldn't. :xeek:
