Im new to bowzons, I ve never played one. But im thinking of making a Pvp zon. First of all i need to know if a bowzon is any good in Pvp, second i need to know how to build one if its good (skills, stats, gear, charms etc). I have been reading some of the Pvp Bowzon stuff, but there isnt a post faith/fortitude guide.

my stuff atm is:
fortitude dusk
cta
andy's face
ias/bow gloves
ravens
gorerider
nosferatu
cats eye

Things that can be traded for zon gear:
enigma dusk (guess it can be traded for a decent faith)
hoto 40
mara
a lot of random skillers
and a lot of other random stuff

But is a pvp bowzon some thing one plays because it is good or because one likes zons?

I think Bowazons can be good, PvP, but they take a lot of style and can be expensive. You'll almost always have trouble with some builds. Nigma WW barbs are not nice, and a charging palli can quickly close space on you and make you dead.

I am experimenting with the newly discovered rune words, I think you can get a zon with Fortitude and big time IAS who could spam enough guided arrows to make swiss cheese out of anything, its just avoiding your opponent long enough to do so that may pose a problem. I think that you could solve that with technique though- I've beaten some unskilled opponents who have some godly gear (cough EBAY cough) with some pretty poor builds.

The problem with guided may be block, with 75% on most melee duelers you're going to need to get a lot of shots off in order to actually hit. With knockback you should be okay ... I think..

oops I almost forgot to mention the necro zookeeper with nigma- he is going to be insta-death for you in most cases. That being said, there is really no perfect build that can win in all situations so I say go for a build you like to play above all else and stick with that.

Thanks for the info Drunka! H
ow do i go by building a good bowzon? Max guided arrow max passives? And howabout charms? Psn or max dmg? And which fps breakpoint should i hit, the one at 90 (i think theres one at 90)?

I think you and I both need a guide to build from, I am currently experimenting with BOW-azons, I think guided is a must, and I am going to max mine for sure. I do have a maxed strafer and she is ok for PvM but not too sweet in PvP. I do duel with her for fun and she does pretty good in most cases, she uses mav's and only has a few points in guided arrow. She can kill in a few hits, but its a longer duel with more running around. I came across a phoenix bow, and I tried that and its about as effective as mav's.

I am thinking maybe mix pheonix bow with Dragon armor and see how that goes, I think PvM it would be good. These days, I think fortitude armor is going to be key to any viable bowazon/jabber build. maybe a combo of the two would rock- but it will be really hard to get to the higher lvls as you will only be built for tackling one monster at a time. I'll think on this and post more later.

I agree totally with you that we need a guide on this build since from my expirience it has become a more popular Pvp since the new rws came out on ladder.
However i dont think the dragon/phenix combo will be as effective as the faith/fortitude combo. But i havent tested it so its just a gut feeling.
Today saw a bowzon who used:
faith
fortitude
cats eye
ravens
nosferatu
laying of hands
artisan tiara of something that gave 17 to strength
and WW
it seemed like a pretty solid build, because she could kill me and the others in the game (pubby) with ease (i played a windy, there was a trapper, 2 javas, and other bowzon using mavs and a random sorc). Not this proves that the build is good, ie. no barbs smiter fohs etc

Yeah mon I got to agree with you, for PvP and over all butt kicking the fort/faith combo should be better. I am going to make a fort armor soon as I can find something suitable.

I am thinking max guided, get your passives up to a decent level, maybe 3-5 points each before gear-

I will have to experiment with IAS stuff and see how it works, I am not much for all the math. Usually I just put on gear and see what works best. I am thinking a WF or even a goldstrike might rock. anything fast attack with high physical damage should own.
