Are there any java/spear skills that will work on any weapon?

I'm sorry if this comes off as such a noob question, but i'm reminded of poison dagger where you can get bonuses if you aren't using a dagger.

Hmmmm... i didn't know that you can use poison dagger skill with other kinds of weapons... must be a bug or something. To answer your question, jav/spear skills work only on javs/spears/polearms.

he's talking about the AR bonus from pdagger, if you have the skill selected but it's red because you don't have a dagger equipped. It might be something to try and see if any of the zon skills give AR bonus but not skill effect in the same way. However, I think Necrochild313 disproved by testing that pdagger gives any AR bonus for non-daggers.

Pretty sure you can't use them with polearms either.

Only spear or jav class weapons.

just for the sake of completeness, i bought a polearm to see if jav/spear skills work with it.
they don't.
but i do beleive your merc will still use jab even if he is using a polearm.

yes yes.... that's what I was thinking when I included polearms in the list. I was looking back and I remembered someone using Reapers and jabbed with it and now I realize that it was my merc all along... silly me. Thanks for clearing that up.
