How good would this be?

Phoenix
100% Chance TO Cast level 40 Blaze When You Level-up
40% Chance To Cast Level 22 Firestorm On Striking
Level 13 Redemption Aura When Equipped
+350-400% Enhanced Damage (varies)
-28% To Enemy Fire Resistance
+10% Enhanced Defense
+350-400 Defense Vs. Missile (varies)
+50 To Life
+5% To Maximum Lightning Resist
+10% To Maximum Fire Resist
+15-21 Fire Absorb (varies)]

Stone
+60% Faster Hit Recovery
+250-290% Enhanced Defense (varies)
+300 Defense Vs. Missile
+16 To Strength
+16 To Vitality
+10 To Energy
All Resistances +15
Level 16 Molten Boulder (80 Charges)
Level 16 Clay Golem (16 Charges)

The molten boulder charges would synergize the Firestorm, which would go off a lot considering CTC 40% plus ITD. This would hit a pretty wide area for 550-ish Fire damage not counting the -Fire Res.

Boy, I wish I was richer so I could try some of these new zon builds.
I really want a BS zon and a FS zon.

I was just reading the Arreat Summit info on this rune word, and yes its expensive. I see it needs vex/vex/lo/jah. I know Jah is supposed to give an item ITD, but arreat summit doesnt show that, would you think its automatically a given?

I'll bet it has ITD instead of +50 to life, if you make it in a weap.

And, yeah it's pricy as hell. 4 High Runes, heh. I'll make one of these right after I make that Last Wish I was saving up for. :xrollseye

581-674 to be exact and that per stream with 3 streams that 1743-2022 now thats before +% damage and -% resistance. as well as fire mastery if a sorc uses this combo. At slvl 26 firemastery will give 205% ~200% so take 1743-2022 *3 = 5299-6066 damage per ctc if a sorc uses the combo.

Thats a pretty nice combo, add on Hellmouth for more ctc fissure and you have a really powerful sorc, of semi powerful other character. A magazon using fire (type) arrows would benefit nicely from this combo as the -28% fire resistance would help each attack against everything not fire immune. Switch to cold arrows for fire immunes. Maybe even have ice runeword on the switch.

The stats on AS are for shield. If you put it in a bow, instead of this :

+50 To Life
+5% To Maximum Lightning Resist
+10% To Maximum Fire Resist

, you should have this :

ITD
20% Deadly Strike
14% Mana Leech

The charge bug synergizes only skill if I remember correctly. So you can only take advantage of the bug if you are a Druid. That runeword does not give you +1 to firestorm but a ctc firestorm only so you don't really have that skill, instead, your bow has it.

Charges do synergize ctc skills as well. Marrowwalks boost Bone Spears from Brand for example.

Does Phoenix get 350%-400% ed in a shield too or is that just for weapons? If it does the holy cow :xeek:

Yes, it does.

i'd rather make a druid instead of trying it on another character....

i'd rather make a druid instead of trying it on another character....

as a weapon it has no ias and as a shield it has no extra chance to block so its not that great...unless you plan to put ~300 points into dex to have max block with it, which is what i plan to do lmao :xgrin: :xdrunk: :xmad:

"As a weapon it has no ias."

True, but that's moot if a fire zon is using it thanks to Immo being timmered. And Immo is starting to look like a much nicer skill now...

So say you max the zons fire arrow skills, would they syn with the rest of the skills making for ultra insane fire damage?

That would not just be somewhat effecitve but damn it would look cool. Imagine piercing Immolation Arrows, that in addition to laying patches of fire on the ground wherever it hits, also happens to send of frequent Firestorms and the odd Meteor.

If only that 1sec timer didn't exist...

Would this timmer go off in mid strafe? Or would the zon continue her strafe and ignore the delay?

We're reffering to the timer on Immolation Arrow namely, so you won't be strafing.

This however reminds me that meteor has a cast delay timer, and that this would in fact also interrupt your attack, ie when you're strafing. I don't think Hellmouth, even when synergised, would deal enough damage to make up for the interruption it will cause.

In my experience, CTC has never been affected by casting delays. I've used Hellmouths with many a strafer. I'm not sure if you can get the CTC to go off more than once every 2 seconds, but I know for sure it never slowed down/interrupted my strafing.
