View Full Version : I want to make a Frenzy Axe barb, but im starting from scratch.

Anyone know if this is a bad idea? What is my final gear setup? Generally I put enough str and dex for Equipment, but I dont know what the equipment will be, so ill have trouble.

EDIT: Actually, I have a lidless wall and Titans revenge I could sell to possibly get some starter stuff, so what build do you think I should probibly do? I really want a barbarian.

I also just recently started a frenzier. I too don't have any equipment and also like untwinked, but I haven't had that much problem on p4, And I have managed to always find some decent unique weapons so far, and I haven't even put points in to mastery, just, maxed frenzy and some in double swing and BO. You'll probably be fine IMO. Just keep swinging!

You can also read Ash Frenzy Guide. It will help a lot. You can find a link to the guide in the post stickied. Axe are a very good choice.

Yeah I read that one.. which made me post this wondering if since his guide is based around some ungodly gear, that if its a bad idea to start one without being ultra rich like his guide expects.

Armor - Naj Light Plate - Get one for 3to 5 Perfect Gems (pgems).
Helm - Tal's Mask - pgem
Boot - Natalya's Boot - pgem
Weapon - Death Cleaver - Crescent Moon (with your Hell Runeforge drop and maybe your Nightmare one if you are lucky).

All taken from Ash's Guide. All affordable (at long term).
Meanwhile you can get and upgrade with what you find.

I started a Frenzy barb from scratch like you, was difficult, but I succeeded.

iirc, Ash made his first frenzybarb untwinked too. Certainly do-able !
