faith question: WHY only faith n matri?

when theres also gorgon crossbows or demon crossobw? gmb is [10], so is demon crossbow. theres a giga damage difference :O

Crossbows can only get a max of an 11 frame attack, whereas bows can hit 7 frames. The difference is huge.

over time that mat bow will dish out so many more arrows than the xbow that the damage on the xbow wont matter.

I wonder, is anyone considering putting Faith into a non-Amazon bow so that they could stick it on a Act 1 Mercenary and use something like Windforce with the Fanaticism? Then again, it's a fairly expensive bow and I guess it's much more valuable in a Amazon bow for PvP?

lol... i made min in a crusador for that exact reason. I give my merc the bow and use wf which grants me mega DAMAGE! plus, i belive the only bows for this are gmb and crusador/hydra... maybe ward, but mat is a waste! u can reach 7 fps with these high dmg bows so why use a mat? the only advantage to mat is that u can use defensive gear cuz u only need 40 ias so helm and belt are free, but i dont get hit often and if i do i'm dead anyways, 20% dr or not. Only vitazons with DR intentions would benefit from mat.

Grand Matron, Hydra, Crusader all require 92 IAS with lvl.15 Fana according to this: <http://diablo2.ingame.de/tips/calcs/weaponspeed.php?lang=english>.

Faith gives no IAS itself. 30 is highest from helm with Mav's True Sight Diadem. 20 from Gloves. 20 from amulet, either Highlord's or Cat's Eye. 10 from Nos Coil belt. That's only 80. No Rings or Boots I can think of have IAS. That leaves only armor, which is feasibly possible using Crow Caw, but who wants to use that when you have access to Fortitude now?

Am I missing something? Calculator broken? Didn't catch an item? Help me out, please.

EDIT: Jewels right? Socket the Mav's Diadem with a 15 IAS Jewel would reach it. Although if you rolled a lvl.12 Faith, that would be a heartbreaker.

Yes 15 ias jewel in mav's or in arm. And there is a combo of ik glove and boots which give you 25 ias. Other whise there is nothing more to do....
