I want to build a javazon exclusivly for killing cows.

I have most items including, eth uped titans, enigma, annihilus and so on and I can probably buy if I lack something. I have read a few guides but they doesnt focus on cowkilling, they focus and include merc and valk which I will not.

Can you help me with the gears, what gears is the optimal if you could afford anything. Do I aim for lots of +skill items or do I focus on ias, you tell me.

If you're looking for socketables, use Griffon's Eye...Otherwise I strongly recommend a Topaz'd Shako. Holy Freeze merc is without a doubt the best for cowing and I strongly would recommend getting a set of upgraded non Ethereal Titan's for backup to keep in your inventory...you won't regret it :)

Stormshield for sure, unless you wanna use a Phoenix for the ED/Sanctuary [I'm ladder and I still prefer Shael'd SS myself]. If you're exclusively Cowing, I'd put a Shael, or, if you'd prefer, an ED jewel in it. Enigma is iffy on choice...I personally use it because my Mercenary uses Infinity [I'm ladder player] and I like being able to regroup him easier because of Conviction's relatively small aura distance. I'd very strongly recommend using level 9 pierce after skills with a Razortail for 99% pierce, it makes a big difference in cows. If you are on ladder and can afford it, I'd also say that having an Infinity Polearm on your Mercenary will greatly increase your cow killing speed [-85 resists is drool worthy].

For the [imo] ideal IAS, wear a pair of 20 IAS gloves [preferably with 2 to passive or Java skills, I prefer passives] and a Cat's Eye.

ok, thanx for the reply.

Giffon is a good tip, that I will go get.

What I use now:
Enigma
Spirit shield
Eth uped titans
2x 7%manald rings
Highlord amulet
Marrowwalks boots
+3java gloves
Tgod belt
2 java charms
1 annihilus
+2 valk helm with 5/5 light facet.
------
on switch: Uped titans/SS
-------------------------------------
What I need:
Giffon for sure.
What about coh armor instead of enigma ? or +2 valor or something else ?
What is better, spirit shield for the skills or ED shield, one of the new words ?
What is better, +3 gloves or +2glove with 20ias
Should I do SOJ/BK instead of the mana leechers ?
What boots is better, fastest walk/run perhaps ?
What charms should I carry, besides from java and the annihilus ? Do i go for MF or for resist or for vita ?

I do have a LF hybrid zon dat i use to do cows....i dunno if my make would suit you but here's a lowdown.

Ias jool-ed Shako OR Ral-ed AndyMask
(I use Andymask in the end because of Ias and +30 strength)

196ed upped titans

198ed shael-ed buriza on backup (thinking about 2nd titans tou)

T-gods

Highlords

War travellers for MF or Goreriders for more attack poweress

Upped 200ed Duriels but you might want to stick to ur Enigmas for teleporting out of danger

BK ring

Ravenfrost

P-diamond SS

I stuff my invent with lotsa pdsc and pdlc....she doesn't have much mf though...but if ur looking for just socket stuff, u don't need mf, just pure killing power. If your zon can clear hell cows in 15 minutes, ur gold ;-)

I'd recommend Shako myself, your call.
If you don't wanna use Enigma, CoH is probably second best choice. I use Enigma myself.
I strongly advice against using Spirit. Awful Javazon choice, get an SS :P. Phoenix otherwise
20 IAS 2 Passives [or Java but imo a let less effecient] definetly. You want IAS
I'd get the Cat's Eye over Highlord's. Your damage is from Lightning, not physical.
I'd definetly try and get a dual [7+ mana] leech ring and either a BK or Ravenfrost.
War Travellers for sure if you're MFing.
Charms - based on your other equipment. Try to hit 225-300 MF if you can. You won't need resists if you're just cowing and Vita charms aren't AS important [though don't undermine it] if you're using a Stormshield as it eats 43% of the damage with CoH or Enigma, with a Shako that's 50% :).
I try and hit 2k HP [I've got 2200] after I use Battle Orders for my Java.

I haven't read the others but my I follow the blizz idea of boosting mf... killing many creatures at the same time. Only one skill has that ability to kill 20 to 30 cows almost simultaneously. It's lightning fury.

I use a cs/lf zon with an act2 might merc with a doom great poleaxe. The might boosts damage further to lf as I use an upgraded eth titan while most of the other gear is standard mf gear plus a java/20ias/kb glove I crafted. The doom freezes cows too much sometimes but at least my merc hardly dies and he can even kill some of his own. For melee, I use the cs and if they are lightning immune and physical immune, I use my skill boosted one point in magical arrow to knockback from a distance. Let's just say this zon massacred in Areas 1, 3 and 5. I hope that helps.

Your gear really dosent matter with a javazon. As long as you have mana and maxed fury (an dmaxing the synergies) you'r going to kill them like flies

Griffon with lightning facet.
Titan's.
Razortail.
4-facet armor.
4-facet shield.
Other gear to hit IAS breakpoints. (I definitely prefer IAS to +skills.)
Merc with Infinity (level 12 Conviction = -85% resists)

No need to eth/up Titan's. All the damage comes from the bolts, not the initial hit.

Curious, is there a reason why you are not using mf gear in cows? What kind of item are you trying to find by not wearing mf? Or you just like killing cows for no reason?

I'd use a 4 facet shield over Spirit personally and Razortail over TGods (high pierce is mandatory!). Is 14% mana leech even needed with eth upped titans? (I'd prefer a regular upped titan, for speedy javelin recovery).

ROMVS, maybe runes and charms?

Like Jek said, runes (gogo crafting) and charms. Also archon plates, flails, monarchs, and whatever else I'm looking for at the time. I don't MF in cows anymore; Meph and the rest seem to work better for items (although I do like to make cows, come back in with a character who has already killed the king, and kill him; he sometimes drops decent items).

My build:

Titan's breakpoints: 10/20/55/90 IAS

Griffon's Eye with 15% IAS jewel (-15% light, 15% IAS)
Enigma *
Titan's
4 facet monarch (-20% light)
Cat's Eye (20% IAS)
2 x Manald Heal (mana leech)
rare 20% IAS, +2 javelin skill gloves (20% IAS)
Razortail (pierce)
Sandstorm Trek (for +str to equip monarch)

I use Enigma over 4-facet armor; I like tele, 45% FR/W, and the +str to help me get the monarch on. 4-facet would give a lot more damage, though. The tele helps me with herding, especially when I have a merc; otherwise, the merc just gets the cows strung out.

IAS: 55%
-light: -35% (-55% if 4-facet armor)

Oh yeah, forgot about mana. At the 55% IAS breakpoint, I can't just hold down the mouse button and constantly attack; I always run out of mana. I have to fire, wait, fire, wait, etc. For some reason, the constant attack doesn't leech mana effectively for me. So maybe I should just drop down to the 20% breakpoint. Keep the gloves, but switch the Griffon IAS jewel for a facet and the Cat's Eye for Mara's or something else with +skills.

Resists and survivability shouldn't be an issue. As long as you can take the occasional hit or two and survive as you run through cows trying to herd them, you should be far enough away to avoid most attacks.

I haven't actually used a merc with Infinity, but , in hell, cows have 50% lightning resist. With Infinity (-85%) and 4-facet armor (-20%), 4-facet shield (-20%) , and faceted Griffon (-20%), cows will have -95% lightning resists. (Isn't the max -100%?)

BTW, this build also works pretty well for DClone, assuming you have a maxed charged strike. He's big enough that all the bolts will hit him. He has 95% light resists, so a pally with a higher-level conviction would be better than a merc with Infinity, but this build should still work nicely solo. (My first Anni ever came from this character; I've since moved on to a Pally with smite, though. Some claim this build is better than smite, but my limited experience says otherwise.)
