wf vs faith

just wondering which wpn rules now
wf = fairly inexpencive (mal+)
faith = expencive (jah ohm)
so what is it that makes faith worth its runes?

faith is way better. The reason behind this is that u can make it in crusador/matron/hydra bow, but u will reach 7 fps with only 90% ias. THe main hype with this is that i tested it myself, and i can go toe to toe with paladins and block lock them. They occasionally get a smite or zeal but dodge fixes that. The ideal setup would be a rogue merc with faith, and u using wf and fortitude. Faith is not as good without fortitude (since wf has higher dmg even with fanat, but u cant use fortitude with wf effectively since ur ias will be too low).

Faith is the better PvP bow for sure, allwoing you to hit 7fpa Guided Arrows. For PvM though I'm still quite undecided. You guys have to remember than you don't use the normal attack in PvM, you just strafe away at 2/3 frames. For PvM wf appears better, ITD is the only thing Faith has going for it.

well since it would cost me around 21+ists for the faith/fortitude combo (jah, ohm, lo)
think i'll just get me a wf for pvm and find a much cheaper pvp character

i know wat's ED - enhanced damage..

i see auras around Zons sometimes.. even when they're not with Paladins around.. what are they.. n how do they get them??

Faith is one of the new rune words for bows that gives the fantacism aura when you have it equipped. ITD is ignore target defense. Yes, WF is Windforce.

Just a few points to consider :

Most people like quoting max dmg for their wf setups but it also has a relatively low min dmg. A matri, for example, has a higher min, making it comparable i think to a wf (in terms of average dmg - whereas max dmg-wise, wf is clearly higher)

Also, the str req for wf is fairly high, points you could dump in dex instead.

However, the 92-99 ias required for a 7fps wf ( with faith merc) is fairly easily achievable ( e.g. shaeled wf = 40 , gloves = 20 , amu = 20 , + socked helm = 15-30 , leaving you the possibility of fortitude armor ).

I have not played this type of zon since 08 but I was under the understanding that even with a Mat bow you needed 142% IAS. Fant only adds like 33% right. Please help me understand the 7 frames for these 3 bows listed and the equipment used. God maybe I will start playing a zon again

With lev 13-15 fan you need 90-95% ias with those bows, look up speed calculator (dont have a link). From what I see even a lev 15 fan needs 92%, so I am not sure where 90% comes from, but anyway thats the way it is.

Don't forget that if you need knockback you will be stuck getting them on your gloves with faith - plus you have that extra open socket on WF - My vote for now is wf . :xsmile4:

For pvm purpose, is faith good for strafe? How much damage would a faith make when the zon strafe?

Barb is not a cheaper choice for pvp! My pvp barb uses two Ebotd zerkers (12-14 is each) Enigma (4-7 ist each) Arreats, Steelrends (anywhere from 1-15 ist just for those; I paid Jah for my 55/18), Goreriders, Verdungo's Um'd Stromsheild, CoH and Draculs for PvM...

The cheapest piece of equipment is the Stormsheild at a Pul, (plus um for socketing)

So why do you think a barb would be cheaper? My barb does alright, but is in no way "elite". However, he's the most expensive character I own, you gotta be kidding with the "cheap pvp character" stuff.

i already own some high end barb gear ie eth botd zerker+beast zerker etc etc... :thumbsup:
