Skellies with shields?

On arreat summit, it says that they have a 5% chance to spawn with a shield.. My SM/RS is 49/47, and they seriously spawn with a shield 100% of the time. Anyone think they actually have a higher chance of blocking than teh stated 3%?

Probably. Don't forget that the AS states a lot of outdated information so the shield information on Skellies is almost certainly wrong. I don't know the actual chance to block though.

Not sure about the % chance of block for your warriors but i certainly agree that most of the time my warriors do spawn with shields. There been a few instances where they haven't but not for a while.

IIRC the chance to block was somewhere between 2-5% hardcoded, as back when 1.10 went live people wondered why skeletons STILL lasted so long even though their life was no longer "bugged". Blocking was considered, but later ruled out because it was found to be hardcoded as a very low %.

Later it was found out that the massive life regeneration rate they had was why.

The stats are current, supposedly, but I think that's an outdated description. What your skellies spawn with seems to be constant and based on your level now.

The only thing more dangerous than a Skellies with max block would be a Revive with great path finding and teleport capability.
