I was thinking of maxing summon resist i mean i dont have nothing else to spend these points on. I max skel mastery/raise skelly,CE not really sure what else to max. I put a point in all curses with my equipment makes them 10 which is more than fine IMO. I have bone shield no need to get bone spear/spirit without making use of the synergies. Im lv75 and i just made it to hell mode was thinking of maxing summon resist since its a synergie to my skelly make them even better.

Just wondering if anyone did this before im gonna try it to see how it turns out i mean its not gonna hurt me in anyway at least thats what i think since i got all the curses with decent range, bone shield and 1point in all my summon skills. I see no point in getting bone spear, bone spirit or the poison skills since they wont be as powerful if i dont make use of the synergies wondering what you guys think of this idea.

You get serious diminishing returns with SR to the point where it's not worth it. 1 hard point plus skills should net you decent resists (can't remember offhand.

Did you try the char planner over at ... oops, don't know if I can mention the site ... just search for "character planner chippydip" in your fave search engine and you will see exactly how much (or little) adding pts to SR gives you.

You may consider just placing more points in decrep/dim vision/whatever instead ... because with increased play skill you can use the increased radius of DV etc to increase the safety of your army and thus in the hope that they take less elemental damage from Gloams/whatever else. Or place points in Bone Wall and once you learn how to use BW properly (or Bone Prison too) you can really make it hard for enemies to damage you either physically or elementally.

And so forth ...

I think the skill table is slightly misleading here - I don't think there is a synergy as such (like with poison or bone), but it just gives the skellies (and revivies) better resistances.

Otherwise, the previous posting says it all.

I would leave SR at slvl 1 and spend the remainder on mages. You have maxed SM anyway so may as well get additional firepower. Cold can freeze and Poison Mages can stop regen. It all good in my book.

Lvl 1 SR gives your skellies 28% resist all. Assuming you also have +9 to the summon tree: Lvl 10 SR gives you 57% resist all, which is very nice.

However: Lvl 20 SR gives you 66% resist all (a less than 1% resist per skill point increase when compared to lvl 10 SR) and even with lvl 29 SR you probably end up with only 70% resistance or so... Not worth the 19 skill points.

Ok thanks for the feedback, I was just thinking that since it was a synergie. I guess i just max out skelly mage i have nothing else to max or put points 2 might as well have alot of skelly mages shooting stuff.

To help avoid future confusion, it's not technically a synergy since it still influences your skellies regardless of whether you got the skills from an item or from investing points in it. Synergies are like the little things on the bottom of the Golems saying what kind of a boost they get from putting points into other golems. If you use an item to get a higher level golem you won't get any synergy boosts from it. It's the same with the sorceress masteries. They aren't granting an extra semihidden bonus, but rather doing exactly what their stated purpose is.

So you've spent 80 points on all the skeletons and corpse explosion. I'm assuming you don't have a Clay golem or revives? Just 1 point in golem mastery and clay golem will give you an added tank that slows enemies down. A few more points in GM and you will have a very speedy tank. Since your CG should be slowing bosses by about 50% at your +skill level by itself and this is the max bosses can be slowed in Hell, you can stick with using amp damage or another curse on them (although decrep also reduces their physical damage by 50% so you might want both).

Also, a lot of people like to max dim vision since curses go through walls and they can just zip through levels blinding enemies they don't even see yet.
