Zealot wep choices

I'm looking at a whole bunch of options, amoung them are Up'ed alibaba, Up'ed headstriker, bstar, Ls, or possibly a crescent moon or passion runeword. with the runewords what wep should i make them in?

I thought Ali baba would be cool to use for constant mfing but i dont know if the dmg is good enough. The headstriker might be good for the deadly strike and the +max dmg per level. bstar anbd Ls are the old school weps i used to use back in the glory days of .09. I thought crescent moon would be good with its static field casting alot(maybe?) with zeal. and passion it looks kinda cheap and easy to make plus the berzerk sounds cool(berzerk knocks out defense but does it drop cance to block to zero as well?)

[edit] headstriker also has prevent monster heal too, right?

I plan on going with the good old zeal fanat combo for this guy so i was wondering which benefits would be the best for me?

of your listed choices, i personally think up'd headstriker is your best choice here. but you'd need to shael it to help make up for the lack of ias on the weapon itself. EDIT: yes, headstriker also has prevent monster heal.

lightsabre is decent but has very low damage; crescent moon is more of a tesladin (holy shock zealot) weapon. passion is half-decent but lacks any significantly appealing mods for paladins; but yes, blocking DOES work with berserk. as for bstar, it also has low damage. i'm focusing on physical damage instead of elemental because you DID say you're going to use fanaticism. therefore alibaba isn't really a good choice at all.

if you like static field, schaefer's and stormlash are your best choices here, but judging from your listed equipment, i'm guessing you're a moderately rich person on ladder. as far as i know, schaefer's is worth an um rune (well, the low ed% ones, anyways).

chamed stormlash is the ultimated pvm weapon. Freeze + static = gg


also, a cheaper option would be Nord's tenderizer. The freeze mod on it is very very nice.

Awsome thanks for the help guys. I think I'm gonna go with the up'ed headstriker for now. unless an Up'ed butchers pupil would be better? I dont think so but maybe?

Also rather than shaeling the headstrker could i get by with the laying of hands gloves, cats eye ammy and a 15ias jewel in my gaze and a 15ias in my GA, to reach the last bp for zeal?

you could, but rather than waste your GA socket, you could wear nosferatu's belt. i personally find the GA socket to be particularly inviting towards, say, an um rune for resists.

with the same setup, upped butchers hits the same breakpoint. either weapon is great.

but of your choices i would go with up'd headstriker or butchers pupil. if you are bent on static field your best option might be a stormlash (im not sure of the runes in crescent moon but they are bound to be more expensive than stormlash.)

stormlash is more expensive than a um rune on ladder. I am sure that it is also more expensive in non-ladder because it is a ladder only item. Damagewise, stormlash is higher than schaeffers if you also consider it's crushing blow mod. Also, if you use schaeffers, you will need to sacrifice a lot of gears to get your zeal speed to 4fpa while stormlash hits 4fpa by itself already.

odd are i'm going to o with up'ed headstriker. but when i up it how is th new lvl req effected? is it the same as any conquest sword or will it be higher? cause all i can think of is when i up'ed my gore riders and got the ridiculous lvl 72 lvl req.

i believe that elite uniques are:

base ilvl+7

so for headstriker it would be: lvl 65

well i appreciate all the help but i just managed to get my hands on an eth demon limb tyrant clumb. The only problem is i cant figure out how to repair the lvl23 enchant charges on it...
