Stout,

This looks good...I think this should be left out. Incidentally, this ties into my thread concerning the "Smart Kids in Pubbies".

Oh and BTW, you left out the section on the TPPKs, the In-And-Out ZON, and the Behind-the-Fence Fireball Sorc. All of these should go into the guide as well...I am sure there are others. But these should be added to complete the guide.

Incidentally, you also negelected to include the usage of misspelled profanity...this is how the elite communicate, so please be sure to include a section on this topic as well (along with a subtopic of repeated utterance of said profanity - to the point that a squelch is inevitable)

4. Naming Your Character
Your game handle is basically your signature, everyone will refer to you by your name so you ought to pick one that reflects your interests and hobbies. Also make sure that your name instills fear in your opponent. For example: dragonkillerX or shaq-fu

You must be jealous that you don't have Shaq-Fu, the proest name ever conceived.

I won't list my names here...but if you know me...you know what they are. And to tell the truth...most pubby kids can't read backwards. Fortunately, they learn to do so very quickly.

From what I've seen, most pubbies have the literacy of an aborted fetus.

I simply reply to this by saying: "you can't afford it either...because your mommy and daddy bought it for you..."

And don't forget the ever popular, "OH yeah? Well my dad can kick your dad's butt..."

I love the mental incapcity possessed by the "children" on B-net. It is truly revolting. I made a comment about wealth in another thread and was flamed...but same thing applies here. It's not about what I can and canot afford...it's about what I want.

If I don't want a BoTD, 'Nigma, 2BER CoA, or other "catchy" items it is not because I cannot afford them. I dislike it when people are incapable of coming to that conclusion.

Besides...nothing is better when I step outside with my PvM set up (including a SHAEL+JAH Heaven's Light) after getting laughed at and destroying a BoTD punk because he cannot resist cold damage. It is so fun when you have a better character that can beat up someone who only has items.

Bottom line, ITEMS by themself are only a shell. It is the ability, knowledge of the game and effective counters, skill point allocation and stat point allocation that are at the core of a solid PvP build.

"Man cannot live on items alone..."

If I did I might have said, "You are the items you equip..." You were being sarcastic right? I interpreted it as sarcasm...hope I was right. Anyway, maybe I will see you on later...working 2 hours away from home in the midst of a snowstorm (albeit a delayed one) is no fun.

Funny stuff!

But, what is scroll lock?

This applies to users of the MH who can see characters on their screen further away than they should be able to. Typically a character using this technique will be the type that uses missile attacks.

This is because you can also see your missiles and enemy missile attacks using the very same MH. By doing so, you can "scroll" your enemy. They are represented by one color X (as normal) on the screen and you are assigned another colored X.

By bringing up the map and activating the MH, the person employing this method can easily see your missiles and where they are travelling, and can essentially range you by altering theeir firing pattern to target the center of your colored X. This only works with the MH, as you can see objects on the map that you would not ordinarily see during normal play.

Think I should just start up a thread devoted entirely to the discussion of Shaq-Fu Philosophy?

How about starting a thread "stoutwood's guide to deal the weak-minded pkers"?

I'll make a small contribution to this thread: Join any pk game, observe all your targets, hostile a specific target after observation, kill it once or twice, spam your l33t comments, leave the game asap (allowing no chance of replies), turn on dnd (if you don't like to see the spams). This only works against the weak minds. Against the rare others, leaving the game after winning 1 or 2 won't accomplish anything because it only strengthens their superiority and displays your weakness.

It's more than a philosophy, it's a way of life.
