Two things:

1. Holy Freeze can apparently be resisted if the player equips enough resist to attain 75% cold resist. If player does this and equips an item with
"Cannot Be Frozen" the chill effect of the Holy Freeze aura can be avoided.

2. Hammers do not do magic damage, nor do they do physical damage. They do not do elemental damage...they just do damage. Bone armor absorbs Hammer damage, and there are no monsters immune to the effects of Blessed Hammer.

Tried to explain this...but apparently I am a newbie and know nothing about the game. I particularly enjoy how the damage from Blessed Hammer fails to fall in any category of damage (physical, elemental, magical) and that it manages to deal "damage" outside the confines of the code of D2.

I also enjoy the "I can resist Holy Freeze if I wear CBF statement as well..." Again, I tried to explain this...but my fingers got tired and I began to develop a bruise on my forehead from repeatedly banging my head on the desk.

I like it when one pub-kiddie says "OMG...nice scroll newb..." To which another says, "It's called spam newb..." Is it just me or is the average IQ of the D2 player falling to an all-time low?

I also like it when people ask me what kind of pally I am. This is typically a ZON or a ASSY...and I promptly step outside town and chill them to death. Then a flurry of "OMG...HFreeze...newb..."

Another favorite is the Barb who tells me that when in Werebear form my 3800 hit-points is weak. I ask how nearly 4K hit-points in any form is weak...he says, "My paladin has 5000 hit-points..."

Then after he WW's me to death, he again says "Weak pally..." To this I reply, "It is fairly difficult to attack you through your WW...being it is somewhat uninterruptible...also you are simply playing a game of click-and-hold-while dragging and there are very few characters that can defeat a WW barb."

At this point the barb became very annoying...telling me his Charge/Zeal pally with 5K hit-points was rated number 3 and that I should check the Blizzard site for his ranking...what is it with some people's children these days? As far as I know, there is no such ranking on the Blizz site...and even a good CHARGE is difficult to sneak in on a WW-Barb that is constantly WW-ing.

I don't think things are worst than they ever were really. Pubbies pvp games where always filled with Mister KnowItAll with more Ebay than common sens. What was more annoying to me, is the occasionel very good pubbies dueler loaded with duped/bugged items that has a real attitude problem. Acting arrogantly with condescendence and feeling that he was invested with a real power by GoD...........

I agree...Honestly, Ebaying gear is not too bad...but to then tell everyone else how much their gear sucks is. I don't tell anyone their items suck...I feel comfortable with the gear I have, and it no way reflects the size (or lack thereof) of any part of my anatomy...or my skill.

I have a specialized paladin...which means he does well versus some opponents and not so well against others. But what do I know about D2...apparently nothing since I don't have all the:

It isn't high, and I made no indication that it was. It is with lvl 8 Werebear and lvl 15 BO. Granted it could be higher...but the incessant rantings of a lunatic barb have driven me to insanity.

Probably cause BO and Oak Sage stack in a mysterious Blizzard (tm) way, and not like you'd expect them to.

On the stupidity of people, I just met someone trying to exaplin to me how blizzard cannot be absorbed the other day.... of course I say "sure it can" so he asked me to list items so I first tried to explain it simply "With enough resist and absorb, sure it can" then I listed:
lvl 42 resist cold aura, Guardian Angel, 2 x Raven Frost, Blackoak Luna, Frostwind and inventory with "sapphire sc of GG" charms etc.

So he tells me that hell does -100, cold mastery -150 and I had to add him Doom and Facets, and assumed -600% ..... at which point he of course laughed at me "LOL LEVEL 36 NEWBIE YOU CANNOT GET TO -600" .... True, but the equip I listed could take all that and still have 95% with absorb :P

When these annoyng kids came crying to me about everything i just make new game with password and whisper it to someone I want to duel.

Also, if i defeat them in duel with my lvl 60aladin vs theirs lvl 80 sorc they bagan crying all kinds of stuuf and bring new lvl 99 ama. :xflash:

Apparently I am a moron because I leave my PvM gear on when going to check on a PK game. I usually see who the prospective opponents are and then go change gear based on their style of play.

Since I have a SHAEL+JAH Heaven's Light I could not possibly know what I am doing as "ITD" only works versus monsters. Also, I am a moron because I have a 1 socket perf CoA rather than a 2 socket.

I am also a moron because I have a Frost Zealot, and everyone knows that you have to build your PK character in exactly the same way everyone else does.

Further, I am a moron because I have high-lvl Holy Freeze with all synergies and BEAST Caduceus...this is stupid unless you have nothing invested in Fanaticism; if you do not have anything in Fanaticism you are a moron, as there would be no point in using HF with BEAST (but there is a point in using Fanaticism with DOOM...everyone knows this).

I am a moron because I wait outside town for the opponent I wish to duel and leave my back to town. This of course leaves me wide open to SMITE as a Vindicator can easily defeat me by quickly stepping out of town with no warning and beating my ***...after which he promptly indicates my state of MORON-hood, and keeps telling me how mad I am and how small my anatomy is. (I of course agreed with everything he said...figuring he would shut up...but alas...he must have been from Zimbabwe as he continued to berate me).

Finally, I am a moron because while trying to explain what IAS is for to a green paladin in the same game, I made a mistake in my three statements:

1. IAS is used to reach a 4 fpa Zeal based on Weapon Speed and lvl of Fana.
2. There are breakpoints in the game...
3. 4fpa is the fastest...

This explanation was of course cut short by the rude interruption of the kid from Zimbabwe, as he said "For what...you can't even explain **** right...don't listen to that guy...he's a newb..."

When people pull that on me I just laugh at them. "What is this? A fashion show? Are you playing Diablo or playing with dolls?" But then I just completed my MF Sorc so gettin' good stuff suddenly became a LOT easier. That and having a maxed frozen orb/cold mastery sorceress is always a lovely thing to have around when those barbs start getting uppity.

Haha this reminds me, last night a barb was in a melee game with us (something-CONAN) and hes "jumping" people, so of course people are getting annoyed and tell him to stop. He says "What am I doing?"

We say: "Your jumping! Dont jump! Say GO before you duel someone here"

(he wasnt killing anyone either, it was just really annoying though)

He says: "Oh" and then starts to attack random people again. Not only that but then he was using massive amounts of poison in melee. After a duel, which I lost btw, I said "gd" and then told him that I didnt mind the poison but he might not want to join a bvb game (or any other private game for that matter) because poison is somewhat considered BM in melee.

Well, to this he replies: "STFU dont tell me what I can and cant use. If I wanna use poison ill bleepin use poison. Your just mad cause you lost"
Then he made a snide remark about not knowing what gd and bm meant.

Then I reminded him that I said good duel and that I even said I didnt mind the poison myself. And then he replies to that with: "I know how to duel. Ive been playing this game way longer than anyone in this room!"

And then I replied: "haha well if that was true then youd know that you say "go" before dueling someone in a melee game and that GD means good duel and BM means bad mannered."

Theres was a few more things he said but he eventually left after a bowzon wouldnt let him out of town.

Usually when someone starts with the anatomy comments, virginity observations, or comments about gear (through use of MH), I tend to agree with them...feeling that by arguing with them I add fuel to the fire. I think many of the people on pubby these days just have a bone to pick with pretty much everyone.

I had a Zon the other day in a Zeal PK game. She was beating the pants off two excessively BM zealots. They were whining...and telling the Zon where to go (Hell mostly...references to other places were made).

I told the zealots to quit whining...and until they started beating the zon, they should keep their mouths shut...they quieted themselves a bit. Eventually a sorc came into town, and so I put on my CoH, CoA, Exile, and Beast so I could get up to a suitable level of resist to elemental in order to deal with what would undoubtedly be a BM Sorc.

I proceeded to hand the sorc's butt to her...both the BM zealots died and swore profusely. I decided to give a go at the Zon. I left the same equipment on because the sorc was zipping around bombing people. So, she chucks a jav at me, I charge in and one-hit KO the zon. I tell her we can go to another area and I can take off the "BM/Counter BM" gear and go toe to toe.

At this point, the most irritating whining I have ever heard began. The zon says..."don't bother...I thought you were someone with manners..." I believe this was because of the aura I use. Holy Freeze, if it is not stacked on any other auras is not BM. It's a legitimate skill...and if you don't have cold resists, you had better get used to getting pinged to death...I tried in vain to express this in a manner that would not be mistaken as cruelty to no avail.

Oh well...It seems as if the "Smart Kids" in pubbie will persist...I wish they would attempt to develop some of that fat between their ears into something more useful than a paper-weight.

And some are even impossible to squelch. I have tried numerous strategies to remove them. Hostiling them seems to have no effect. Repeated invite/cancel seems to fluster them a bit...especially if everyone does it at the same time...usually the bots drop due to time out caused by excessive spamming.
