How do people die with mh?

Visited a friend this afternoon, he plays ordinary ladder with mh. tried it for a while as I always do when I'm there. Gotta love item coloring, please Blizzard give us that :) . when I got to wonder how is it possible to die with mh. Ok throne entrance can kill you before you can see anything, so can frigid(unlikely but possible). otherwise you see anything remotely dangerous marked on your map.

Well all meleechars have a possibility to die. God I hate mhers it's so lame. Go sc instead. This goes to all that use mh in any way including baaling with a mh sorc. Why play when you can't die whats the use of hard core.

Btw who'd play on a hardcore WoW server?

It's my guess that the feeling of invincibility makes people a little too zealous in the way they play.

it goes like this:

mh is a colored mess of monsters and things.
pk hostiles
mh-er thinks "what the hell, I'll see him coming"
pk-er takes a WP ahead of the player and dashes through the monsters
mh-er doesnt see pk coming cause of all the crap on his screen
mh-er dies a painfull death

ok, my opinion is...


when you have maphack for an extended period of time, you become a worse player, simply because you can avoid situations that might kill you if you didn't have it.


of course, my opinion may be worthless because I've never used maphack... so... uh... yeah... I like this smiley; it's cool: :xgrin:

I suppose because mh is used for people who lack the skills to play hardcore*. Some may not use propper stuff due to always avoiding dangerous enemies and may die when they try to kill them. I think they die either in an area where the entrance can be dangerous or when they decide to take out dagerous enemies, either beucase they are in the way or for no other reason than to just take some chances.

There's always lag also. Anyone who lags while cursed near death lords or hell witches has a very high chance to die if the merc is busy tanking something else or already dead.

*OK, it of course is used in softcore too, but well, this is the HC forum.
