View Full Version : Spaghetti the Barry way (somewhat idiot proof)
Heres what you need (2 persons):
______________________________________________
150 gr of minced penguin (If failing that, use minced beef or something ^_^)
1 large yellow pepper
1 courgette (dunno what it is in english, looks like a cucumber but it aint one)
1 medium sized onion
3 small pinches of chili powder
about 10 black and 10 white pepper grainthingies + mortar and pestal (sp?)
3 cans of tomatopuree (bout 200 grams, PUREE, not chopped up but concentrated puree)
1-2 tablespoons of sunflower oil
the odd spaghetti dunno just use some, we dont use much.
__________________________________________
Heres what you do:
put water up for spaghetti (once water boils toss in spaghetti)
toss tablespoons of oil in pan, heat up and toss in minced penguin (or beef)
let she-bear stir penguin and in fact, let her do ALL the stirring :xgrin:
chop up onion into small and medium sized chunksies.
chop up pepper into smaller parts
toss in onion
your water is prolly boiling now, so toss in spaghetti.
chop up courgette
toss in courgette
stir for like 30 seconds, toss in pepper, stir some more
stir spaghetti a bit to make sure it doesnt all stick to bottem
use mortar, pestal, black n white pepper to make freshly ground pepper
toss in pepper
stirrrrr and then slow down on half gas or something
let it heat for a minute or two
toss in tomato puree from cans
stir to make sure puree is everywhere. add in 200 mililiters of water (well, our puree comes in 70g cans, so I add 3 cans ^_^)
toss in 3 pinches of chilipowder
stirr a bit, turn gas back on and heat while stirring... check spaghetti, once its done drain thourougly and then toss onto plate. add sauce and hey presto, dinner time.
___________________________________________
I can pull this off in 15 minutes, and its rougly 5 minutes work for me. easy as pie mmmmmMMMmmmm pie! Have a nice dinner.
Its sharp, the chili makes your tongue tingle slightly, and sweet as the pepper and the tomato puree contain some sugar.
oh and if any of you b*tch about this being OT then I'll turn you into a humie pie.
Why would we b*tch about it being OT? It's not like this post is annoying, pointless, a waste of server space etc etc...
Come on Barry, what was the frigging point? If you wanna post crap like this then go to the OT forum. Thats what it is there for.
one baroni pie
make pie
add chopped baroni
do NOT cook, add ketsjup and eat raw.

*Hopes that Barry chokes on my pelvis*
Is there a moderator on this forum any more? It seems to me to be overrun by countless OT posts that have no place being here. It is sad to see a once great place become the dumping ground for any topic that just pops into peoples heads.
Methinks the end is nigh for the Hardcore Forum :(

Hello this game is older than grandma what else can we say about it.
Hello this game is older than grandma what else can we say about it.
As I said in my first post, there is an OT forum to post anything that takes your fancy. What is the need to pollute this forum with it?
There are still a few on topic threads that get posted, but they are all too soon swept off the page by the growing amount of dross.
It has been annoying more and more lately that there are sooooo many OT threads. I guess the complete and utter pointlessness of this thread just pushed me over the edge.
I have no more to say on this subject. I think it is time for me to exit this forum stage left.
See ya guys (and bears).
Perhaps there should be the Hardcore OT forum, the Hardcore You Thought this was not OT but it soon will be Forum, the Hardcore No OT and We really mean it..No No stop it...Stop OTing Here Forum...
or not

Is it really that hard to click on page 2 and view older threads?
... if you have an extreme case of rheumatoid arthritis, I apologize. Otherwise, have some cheese with your whine. I suggest a nice, mild apple-smoked cheddar, or maybe a silky-smooth Camembert.
You can still see stuff 2 days old on the first page...not long ago stuff didn't last 1/2 a day on the first page...overload of threads is not too much of a problem that I can see...now the quality is another issue

Wow tried to make a receipe but then couldn't find the english word/(what the hell I'm eating) so I just quit. On the note of OT. OT is what makes this forum stay alive imo since all other threads mostly is about pk/dueling... I want people to hang out with :). Also would really want the channel for "the isle" since most ppl seems to hang out there :) . still don't know why I do this under the influence.
I apologize for my spelling/grammar and defend myself by the fact that english ain't my first language  , shout out to all people on us-east. Anyone in need feel free to message *MegatronX and I'll help out if I'm able.... just don't toss my necro to souls or if thats the thing get him a good wisp
(didn't know you couldn't use any number of smiley's, whats that all about "insert smiley I can't post here" )

I think the courgette thingy is a zucchini (http://www.harrismoran.com/products/squash/bobcat.htm) - they are kind of cucumberlike but they have a tougher flesh and the stem is all kinda star shaped?
They are yumminess personified when sliced and sauteed lightly in butter with sweet onion and a pinch of kosher salt and som ground pepper and ...... oooohhhhh hoooongry! :xquiet:

....Yeah Barry..stop the spam.
Seriously, what the hell is with people making useless posts....I mean 3 the telling you that you made a useless post.
Lighten up. This forum's old and so is Barry. Let us have our fun and don't read things that are clearly not about how to mf or survive a pk or some other thing that most of us have down pat already. Most of us have known eachother for quite some time and we have a good community basis here...
Ps : Zappa hates it when you tell him how to do his job^^

Ok people, I have apologised to Baranor, and I apologise to the rest of you for the mindless flame. I should definately learn not to post whilst in the midst of an incredibly bad mood.
Long may the OT post and pointless spam continue.

It is like sea salt - bigger grains.
I am not sure why but it seems to taste better than the table variety and people say it is not QUITE so bad for you.
it is very useful in cooking penguins as well.
Here is one for Barry (may be subsituted with a chicken or increased and used for a turkey)
Take one good sized whole penguin - remove all the feathers and innards.
place penguin in a large pot and cover with water.
Remove penguin - now you know how much water you will need (note level of water in pot)
Dump this water and refill with fresh water - add 2 cups kosher salt for a chicken sized penguin 4 for a king sized one. (you may need to use a plastic cooler or bucket on the turkey instead of a pot) Stir salt until disolved and put the bird back in water. Cover and either place in a tub filled with ice or the fridge - 6 hours or so for chicken over night for turkey. Pull the bird out again and pat it dry. Rub with butter and spices (I like ground pepper and rosemary ... no added salt needed) let sit uncovered in fridge for a few hours - this dries the skin so it will be crispy!
Now roast as usual. This is called brining and makes the meat so much more tender and juicy - why it might almost make a Baroni edible :D
yes I know he said sorry but he and I have this whole war-like thing going and it is fun to pick on him :innocent:

Eating is the most important thing in people's lives. It gives you energy to play diablo and various other pleasant things. So there's NOTHING off-topic in this thread.
15 minute spaghetti with smoked salmon:
-boil the pasta until al dente
meanwhile:
-chop the 100g of smoked salmon
-chop 1 clove of garlic, into really small pieces, or press it
-chop good amount of dill
-fry the salmon on 1 spoon of good olive oil, together with garlic, half of dill, and some lemon juice for just a few (3-5) minutes
-add 1 cup of creme fraiche (I use 18% fat cream, must be thick), mix, heaten
Done, mix with the pasta, sprinkle with rest of the dill
Mmmm you made the missus drool with anticipation. were gonna try that soon.
