mules, etc

How would a character give items to another of his own characters? I'm assuming this is how mules work and how trading mules, etc work. Please explain this to me. I have played Diablo 2 mostly in single player, so I don't know these kind of things. Thanks

- Make a game on BNet (password protected) with the mule
- Stay in it for more than 5 minutes to 'perm' the game on the server
- Drop the items yyou want to transfer and leave the game
- Go online with the character you want to transfer the items to
- Join your own game and pick up the items

Ah, of course. I guess i didn't really think about it myself first before I posted for a quick answer.
I think I succumbed to the mechanical impulse of instant gratification.

If you're playing single player, head over to the Single Player forum and go to the ATMA thread. Download ATMA, and mule to your hearts desire.

Either be absolutely sure five minutes has passed (/time) or leave and come back to make sure. It's also probably not a great idea to drop too much at once, in case something weird happens and you can't get back in. And if you switch characters too many times too rapidly the game will think you're a botter and kick you off.

Or if you're playing on Bnet you can just have a friend hold a game open for you while you do your xfering... It's my prefered method, no real risk that way, especially if they hold onto the good stuff just incase :xquiet:
