I was wondering about making a pvp nm Kicker. Is Dragon talon really all that better than the explosive kick? I had one of these babies in .9 that was a Ma assasin with tucs that used Tiger Strike and Fof alternatively with the explosive kick. It seems to me that the kicksins time length stuck in kick animation is a bit of a hindrance however beneficial it may be to kicking stunlocked opponents. Anyone know a good build for this? I will be experimenting but id like to know ppls sucesses, failures with a MA assasin who only uses whirlwind vs enemies you cant really beat with a physical skill anyway like barbs. I was thinking going a non enigma route but if that really is the best armor for this thats ok. its just that my comp is so slow to handle tele animation =/.

Welp I checked out the chippydip calc. Unfortunatly Blizz handed MA assasins the shaft and screwed them concerning Ma skills. Good news, not much the fire % of the dmg coming from dragon Tail increases by lvl. Whether this is good or not I dont even know, I liked the half physical half elemental it dealt in .9. Bad news, blizz decided giving a lvl 1 barb skill to MA assasins would be enough to make them function well in pvm. Oh well...there's always venom. -_-. Anyways if anyones had any success with this, seems like you could get some big fire dmg? The kb doesnt hurt either with stunning.

The MA skill tree is far from screwed up by blizzard. If anything , it's been improved drasticly. Dtalon has a really good use now. In 1.09 it didn't. Dtail is vastly improved , but that's mostly thnx to boots dmg. And the fact that you can leech with kicks now. Dflight is still "only" a way to move around , but it did the same in 1.09. Dclaw is semi screwed over , the uninteruptable part is what made it nice. For dual claw sins it can however still be a nice finisher , the AR boost helps you connect.

The 3 elemental charge-ups can become quite powerfull with enough +skills. With a decent amount of +skills they ofcourse do some less dmg , but they can still be quite destructive.

As for the animal charge-ups , Tiger strike has it's uses. Mostly in conjunction with Dtail though. Cobra strike is still a nifty 1 point wonder. It saved me alot. And phoenix strike is just like the elemental charge-ups , it can become quite powerfull.

8 of the 10 MA skills I meant here above are quite powerfull in the right hands , so plz don't say the MA skill tree is screwed with the coming of 1.1.

O_o I merely meant things as I see them. There is no awesome claw for non whirlwind assasins. There is a bunch of rather decent choices but non that do anywhere near a botds monster dmg and speed. Btw what do your Pvm Pvp MA assasins wear. I'd like too do a cool nats set build for a change to mess around but I hesitate for fear of the possible weakness of it. Mebbe i'll get 3 fire facets and stick em in the armor for my D tailer.

i have pvp ma sin but she is just ok duel around
maxed skill
Dtail
velmon
shadow master

and few point in other skill
10 dfright with item and gc
6 to fade and bos
6 to mb

item i use
eth Duriel's Shell
Dracul's Grasp
ss
blood ring/ cat set ring
3 to ma ammy
Bartuc's Cut
Crown of Thieves

i know that you may think that this sin sux but she is ok with about 30 life stolen and think about if life tap is up then if will be like 50?

her dmg is 782 dtail without velmon if i add velmon it would over 1.1k dmg per kick

Well didnt mean to imply u suck. Anyone know what kind of dmg a lvl 20 Dtail would do with Shadow dancers as boots?

DTail does rather poor damage without Tiger Strike (TS). Using TS I have heard of it getting in the range of 35-50k depending on how much effort you put into having it do damage.

I have never heard of a good PvP build using Tail. (The one listed above looks really weak to me, though it might do ok as a mid level build.) As an attack, it is too slow (7 frame max), requires chargeups to do any real damage (i.e. TS), and would miss a fair amount. Talon and Whirlwind are the two that are worthwhile to use, mostly due to the venom and open wounds damage. I can only see it being really useful against necros or druids with lots of minions.

Killing good Whirlwind Barbs is probably the toughest challenge for any Assassin. They were designed as mage slayers, and fighting melee takes far more skill and luck.

Aw man that bites. I love the cool explosive visuals Dtail has and dont quite like zealing with my foot -_-. Still...geh. Dont suppose you know what Shako, 160/60, storm, dancers wearing type assasin would deal in uncharged damage? Guess mabye i'll make a tele zerker/ww instead =/.
