Have any experience or suggestions with fire-Elemental druid duels?
I'm going to write guide about fire elemental druid in duels. I started one druid myself and have been dueling with it. I learned many exciting things and so on. I just want to know if someone got experince with this build and could post some suggestions about dueling vs other classes and so on.

something like that not sure, but he was great, killed many a players, the main attack he liked to use was fissure, he went with pure damage with 6 faceted phase, 4 faceted dusk and 4 faceted monarch, his armmageddon dmg was about 11k i think... creepy aint it? :scared:

I was embarrased the first time I dueled one and died. Sure the final score was like 8-3 but still it was scary. The fissure stun locked me.

lol i hope hes just joking about what he said. I dont think hes ever faced a fire druid before :lol:
I dueled one once, he was pretty strong and he wasnt even pure fire elementalist. He was fire claw wearbear, but he used fissure(i guess because i was on my bone necro so he knew he would be able to compete in bear form :drool: ), and even with my max resits he'd kill me with three "hits" of fissure. It's hard to escape because fissure seems like it stun locks you(i didn't have on much FHR at the time). So they are pretty powerful, i think 'll make one someday, I'm just wary if i should make an elemental PvPer or not because im afraid people will just stack resists/absorb

i dueled one, theyre not... ALL that good.
actually dueling 1 random fire druid doesnt imo say that much about how good their build is
it might just have been a very poor player/bad dueler
anyway i duel in clan honor and there are some fire droods there and theyre really good...
the only one ive dueled is asherons druid though, but my 6k life barb lost to it

OT: oh yeah, by the way squal, most fire druids(who have at least a decent amount of +skills that is) do between 10k and 13k geddon damage, so 11k is about the average geedon damage, so get your facts straight please before posting saying that someone else sucks because you don't THINK a fire druid can do 11k damage. so "admit it's u k?thx"
Back on topic... I think fire druids are very good if well played. You just might need some practice aiming your fissures/volacanoes/boulders. After you get good at aiming those they can beat just about any character that doesn't over absorb, except wind druids. They are hard because of their cyclone armor. I doubt you will ever beat one that's any good.

After you get good at aiming those they can beat just about any character that doesn't over absorb, except wind druids. They are hard because of their cyclone armor. I doubt you will ever beat one that's any good.
Fire Druids will never beat:
Necros
Barbs
Sorcs
I can gurantee that any good played necro or my light sorc will never ever lose to a fire druid, as well as my old necro before i retired him.

...if your skilled enough you can beat necros and sorc, tele'ing ww barbs are pretty tough though. What realm are you on? are you ladder? If your U.S. East ladder than when until this ladder resets and I'll make a fire druid as my first dueling character(after my poison necro for MF of course) and we can duel. I think if the druid is good enough and the other person doesnt over absorb fire like a mofo then the main people that he'd have trouble with are:
-Druids with a nice cyclone armor
-tele ww barbs
-ww sins
Although I think that he could handle barbs/sins if hes good enough. Don't wanna give out my strategies yet, my fire elemtalist druid guide is still in beta :cheesy: (in other words, I'm just returning to diablo from a long break[so long all my accounts expired] so I just made a MF character so my fire druid isn't well equipped for dueling yet)

Im sayin IMO its pretty obvious that he's not bragging about another druid he fought, hes bragging about his, and u know how most people that say i fought such and such are actually them...
Anyways I do know they can reach such damage, I've even fought an armageddon druid using 6 phase, MP enigma, and 4 sock monarch.
Well...even as he obviously aa'd , he still couldn't kill any characters in the duel game...even with aa fissure.

I used to have a fissure druid...My only real regret is not giving him more of a chance. At lvl 70 he was doing well and was ALOT of fun...until i, being already skeptical as to how he would work, i got frustrated with either owning ppl or doing...nothing. High life and (obviously) sorb easily seemed to tank me (sorb doesn't count, it does that with almost every char...). He has 10 gcs ect...but i never went the extra mile to get him life mods and llv him up to give him a real chance. VERY fun to lvl and duel with, but i imagine you need to really know your stuff...

learn to beat aa without it. all decent duelers can. Just because some people rob banks doens't mean you should too. You have a ******ed way of justifying your own stupidity. find a dueler that can kill aa blizz or aa bone nec with minions with a caster and post back

Anyways Squal, i just think its pretty funny how you think your such hot stuff, how your better than everyone. An when I prove you wrong(or other people prove it for that matter) your only response is "cry". Cant come up with anything original huh? As far as self-humiliation, that'd be what your doing. You are saying how everyone is a kid and your some big shot who can beat everyone, although you dont word it like that, thats what you are saying. So please get a life, or some maturity, and just admit it if your wrong instead of getting pissed off at everyone. It gets annoying.
Well, IMO theres nothing more humiliating then when someone tells you to cry, it just tells you that your right because you cant prove your case. Lol, I'm well enough educated enough in psycholog to tell what you are "feeling" and what you are thinking through what you say.

hey guys, i hardly ever enter the pvp forum. but hey im here and i happen to have a level 91 fire druid that rocks in pvp. like it has been mentioned, only wind druids can kill me consistently. (there was quite a big discussion of fire druid vs wind druid tactics in the druid forum) i usually win the majority of duels against ww barbs and ww sins. i only have problems against ww sins if they are trap hybrid, then they are nasty! cold sorcs and most fire sorcs are easy and some lightning sorcs and the occasional fire sorc are difficult. my geddon does 13k and i only have 7 skillers, so 11k geddon damage is really easy. imo enigma is better than that 4 facet armor someone said because the skills and other mods are far better than the damage on the facets. i use a facetd ravenlore, ss, enigma, arach, mage, hoto, bk/caster ring, treks, caster ammy with resists and +2 druid skills, and 7 skillers.
i'm on USWest ladder if anyone wants a bout with either my fire druid or my fire claws druid.

No, I dd not mind the finger. I added to a collection that I had going. I also do not understand it. This is a common thing. The first tiem someone through out an insult, it did not bother me. The 100th time ago it did not bother me. The last time it did not and the next time I am sure it will not. They must really think that this time, they and only they, will get to me. Because they are doing something different then the previous 250 people a year. It only takes me about 10 seconds to ban them. It takes about 3 seconds more to delete every post they create. But they still do it. I am sure he will be back soon.
To join the subject here. I had a fire Druid in 1.09 on west. He killed a lot of people. But good paly's always took me down. I was thinking about making one again, in fact I started but did not finish him. What are their weaknesses and strengths now?
@ xirc. fire druids have attacks like fissure, armageddon, and volcano (the most attacks used) these attacks are grossly damaging. armageddon scares the crap out of people that want to get near. volcano seems weak in damage but it shoots real fast both physical and fire damage. i like volcano out of all of them. and fissure is the ultimate barb/wwsin/any running class killer. if a pally charges at you and you have a fissure in front, he will get hit by 4-5 "vents" in the process which can add up to an easy 24k fire damage. weakness is that all thier attacks have timers. which leaves them open right after an attack unless they hit the character and got him into some form of stunlock. if there wasnt a timer you could imagine the chaos. 10 volcanos will kill anything.

The one I dueled transformed to werewolf and used fissure / armaggedon / molten boulder / fire storm. All of it. It was doing some serious >10k dam, but you know what they say. Fight fire with fire. 1hit fb. Over.
