Valkyrie?

Hmm any amazon strats focusing on Valkyrie alone (or how u spell it)?
With 20 points in decoy, and 20 in valk, and few others in synergies..how viable is Valkyrie? I mean, with amazon w ranged weapon as support (and merc)?
How is it compared to druids summons? Etc?

Umm, the Valkyrie hasn't got much of a killing power. It takes ages for them to kill. However, with both Valk and Decoy maxed it could tank all day long. The only thing likely to kill it would be an act boss or Iron Maiden curse.

But I wouldn't recommend maxing decoy on anything but a tankazon type build. The Valkyrie still gets lods of life even without Decoy, and could still take on groups of monsters night on indefinitely.

With a few good items and a few passive GC you can reach about level 34 for the valk.At that level she can kill many act one hell creatures in one blow and her surviveability is very high indeed with a supporting merc.

I wouldn't advise putting more than 1 point into Decoy unless this is some weird niche build as the 80 life your Valk per point in decoy is simply not needed. You can always recast her on the odd occasions her life gets low.

I put 5 points into Decoy for my Palazons but that is so Decoy is useful. My Valk has been known to kill one of Listers minions while I am busy with the rest. Even at this point the only thing that tends to kill her is Iron Maiden. This is as close to a fully synergised Valkyrie I can imagine it being possible to get with 5 in Decoy and Critical Strike and 20 in D/A/E, Penetrate and Valkyrie (then again if you're focussing only on Valkyrie she doesn't really need Evade so points can be taken from there to max CS and Decoy).

IIRC someone did write a guide some time ago for what he called a "Blondiezon". The idea was to use Lacerators to help the Valk kill faster.

I have only made like 5 zons, and I almost always max valk and decoy.
People say its stupid. But I absolutly live for the times when I get someone to duel my valk and end up getting owned in like 1 or 2 hits. Sorcs find it hard to kill because of the high resistence.

My favorite color valk is the blue ones. I swear she got 95% cold resist! :lol:

ah that reminds me. i heard as valk lvl gets higher, they get better gear, and at lvl 17 they have the best they can get. any one got a link showing what they get for different levels, or if this is even true?

Nope. Thats just the best weapon. Keeps going up after that.

Any of those items could be like items youve found in the game

So at higher levels she may spawn with items (expecially jewelry)that have useful characterics .

Ive had my valks casting hydras and breaking immunities before and some of the blows she lands sometimes are more than critical strikes so I suspect useful combat plusses with her items on regular occasions.

Valkeries just rock, hard, although decoy is kinda a waste for the small returns.
