druid question

i was thinking to myself in another one of those bizarre dreams again. what about a hunger druid? i mean super fast attack with the right weapon. like perhaps a 5 sheal runemaster ettin axe that has good damage and it can get pretty fast in wolf mode or perhaps bear mode.what about it ed ias gear with moderate strength and mass dex/ life and max bear/ or wolf and maybe even a possible windy hybrid here???? im very curious because i kinda like this idea its hunger adds pretty good percentage to ar and max lycanthropy would add lotsa life and the heart of the wolverine would add damage and ar but if you had the hybrid you could be protected from elemental attacks any follow ups i kinda like this idea i was thinking about keeping it quite but i cant i guess hehehe maybe this will be the new build to PWN!!!! :winner:

One word: Zealers. Zealers will always have an advantage over druids when it comes to melee duels because of their better block and charge. I'm not sure how much ias a druid needs to reach similar attack speed as a zealer but I'm confident a zealer needs less. If you simply love druids go ahead with your hungry hungry druid, if you're a lil' more flexible I would suggest opting for a zealer (sorry if this causes you any disappointment).

If you're only looking for AR, then go for a regular fire claw druid. Hunger is not very useful as a primary attack, since its main purpose is life/mana leech.

Damage-wise, it has a constant -75%ED, and no other enhanced damage at all, so you'll be doing very little for damage.

That said, if you want to use a druid, use Fury. At level 20, it adds a ton more damage and slighly less AR than a synergized level 20 zeal. Since Fury has no synergies, that's only one skill you have to max, instead of zeal and sacrifice for a zealot.

irrc hunger has to go through the pvp penalty and all the other crap. It also does low damage so you wont' leech much.

im not talking about what would be the best build but im saying this will have a very scary attack speed ive already built a fury druid and he owns but he hasnt enough life so im saying that this would be crazy ias and decent ar i dont think that the leech would work anyway im just saying it would be like a maul bear with a 6 sheal phase fun but more fun than that :) then the pvp effect with the cyclone armor : winner :

Okay, but since when is the attack speed of hunger "very scary"? It adds no increased attack speed at all.

I suggested Fury since the attack speed can get a hell of a lot higher than that of any other druid attack.

Actually hunger can reach 4 fpa which is faster than fury over time as a 4 fpa fury will have an initial attack of over 4 fpa.

In all likelihood a pure hunger bear will not work at all in pvp as your only increased damage will come from werebear and the -75% damage on hunger along with the pvp penalty will have you leeching basically nothing at all.

Yes, but Hunger needs a lot more IAS, almost twice as much as fury with some weapons (pb, for one), to reach 4fpa. This means that you would have to sacrifice even more damage equipment for a nice speed.
