hey I was just wondering what you people thought of these caster belts that u can craft. seems like with the 4 fixed mods + additional 4 mods it could have the potential to be a crazy belt for a trapasin! except of course u don't get the +1 to skills but whatever...

has anyone tried?

Yes you can get godly ones for trapsins or any caster. I've seen some with mods close to this:

24% fhr
10% fcr
30 str
60 life

right there is a godly belt.. thats intense man.. 60 to life.. :O

The 30 str on a belt like that seems good, but if you use it equip with and pump those points into life, then that's the only belt you can wear. You can't switch out for T'Gods for absorb or arachnid if you need the extra 10% cast, etc.

Yes, but on the other hand if you don't need another belt... then that turns into 120 life that can be boosted by BO (in addition to the other 0-80 life from the +life mods on the belt). The life from Verds doesn't get boosted...

Well TGods gives 20 str, you can plan your gear with a little depth so that TGods will still be useable. All you need is another item that gives 10 str that you use vs lightning trappers (like resist boots) and then TGods will still be equippable. Or you could just use a wisp as your 1 absorb item. As far as wearing Arach is concerned, I don't see why you would ever need 10 more fcr if you planned your build to hit the bp youre aiming for with this belt.

Its better than verdungos for some builds and worse for others. If you need the DR to reach 50% I would say dungos is better, and the fhr/fcr should be made up for in other items. If you don't need the DR, or you're playing a character where you don't expect to get hit by melee much, then this belt is better by far.

T'Gods requires 110 str, which caster belts very rarely do. If you pump you str to 110 via stat points or equip, the 30 str gained from switching to a caster belt really doesn't benefit a caster type char unless there is some high str item they want to wear. Perhaps both belts would allow for a storm shield even though switching belts. But in that case, if the 30 str goes away, an arachnid is at least as good with only a bit more str invested to get the 110 str to 133 for a storm with -req.

I would assume that any asn who wants fcr would be wearing an enigma and can hit 110 str. At least they should be wearing one.

i used to have a 10fcr/10fhr/59life/10strg belt

still got a 9/24/17strg one LOL
