I have a pvp c/c kicker and am doing ok right now but i know somethings missing.
My gear is as followows:

Shako w/ 39%ed jewel
smoke boneweave
Jade Talon/bartucs
ik boots 8^(
Ik belt
1.10 Trang Gloves.
angelics.

As you can see i'm not very rich and can't afford much.

Upgrade to some elite boots. That will seriously help your damage. Shadow Dancers or Gore Riders are probably your best options. String of Ears is an excellent belt if you can't get a high end Verdungo's.

Get rid of the IK items, and get Shadow dancer/upp. Gorerider, and you need more Open wounds (OW). Replace Trang gloves with Dracul's, and IK belt belt with Verdungo's, Thundergod's or crafted blood belt. If you have a Um rune, then make a Duress armor (gives you 33 % OW).
Only use Angelic when you fight high defence chars. Use dual raven Frost instead.

Remember that OW can't be resisted anyway. Try to get around 50 % OW, because it's a real killer. There are many cheap rune words that gives you plenty of OW.
