So... what shall I do?

First of all please note - I am not asking for the strongest build, just which you personally prefer.

I currently only have two remaining Characters that I duel with (Hybrid'sin and Bear Enchantress). Both of those took alot of time planning, trading, building, re-building etc. But now I need another Character to go with them. Just to add a bit of variety.

However, I can't decide which Trapper to make, so i'll open it up to a poll and the one that comes out on top will be the one I shall make. So simply choose the build you think I should make, based on your own preference. Some things you may want to take into account:

- My new Trapper will be duelling in private games, with restrictions on absorb, res, and the like - so there are no concerns over damage being totally negated (thus I dont want you to choose the most powerful build necessarily).

- How much they will cost to make or the varying gear selections don't matter either (as long as they dont rely on dupes etc.). You don't have to list the gear/skills etc. I'll work that out myself - but this may affect your decision :p .

- Feel free to explain why you chose the build you chose.

I chose fire cause I am so sick of lite trappers and cause a fire trapper with WoI and a good mindblast is seriously a powerful force. And personally I think you'd look better beating someone with a fire trapper than a lite trapper cause everyone knows that lite trappers are very powerful.

Ye, I have been up against all three options in 1v1 duels with my Hybrid'sin, and all three were strong builds. They are all viable, that's why I am undecided, thanks for the comments ;) .

Also voted fire trapper, mainly the same reasons as vind said, but theres also the fact not many people carry fire absorb on them even tough its so easy to get compared to light absorb (cost wise anyway).

Yes, that's something I might take into account if I were to go Public duelling (although I very much doubt I will). And of course it would only work once, because if they had Fire absorb in their stash they'd soon put it on ;) .

Anyway, a Lit trapper with a backup Fireblast can be kinda fun. If you really tweak the damage, your Fireblast damage can get up to 10k. And, since you have to put those synergies somewhere, you might as well get some lightning traps to go along with it.

I don't PvP with trappers (at least, I stopped once wisps became standard gear on the ladder), but that's what I'd do if I was making one.

Anyway, a Lit trapper with a backup Fireblast can be kinda fun. If you really tweak the damage, your Fireblast damage can get up to 10k. And, since you have to put those synergies somewhere, you might as well get some lightning traps to go along with it.

When I said Hybrid I meant LS + WoF + WoI mixture. It was really effective when I duelled it with my WW'sin. Better than pure Fire or Lightning, but then again absorb/Res is restricted, but then again absorb/Res will be restricted for the people i'll duel.

I already have a WW/Trap Hybrid'sin (using Light though). I want the build to be pure Trap though, whether that's Fire/Light/Mixture of some sort i'm undecided (hence the poll).

I think you'll find it requires the most skill to play. You'll have very good lightning damage and surprisingly good Fire Damage from the Fireblasts. Also don't forget that you have other lightning traps other than LS. You can also use CBS in certain situations. Yes, i've read Doc's guide a couple of times, and I think you're right about the skill required.

In my opinion CBS is too slow to be of any use, however I can see Shock Web being quite useful. I'll do some research into various Hybrid builds, then possibly make a new poll, to determine which Hybrid build I make.
