zerker barb question

should i make a super fast ias zerk with completly mass ias vit and dex? or is build worth attempting? :scratch:

it might have trouble in pk since zerk takes like 12 frames to swing. but im sure you can get 1 hit kills. just dont expect to "own" a pk game...

Zerk takes 12 frames to swing with abysmal IAS. Zerkers are quite viable (talkin HC high level dueling here) and when played well, will win most 1v1's. Of course there are builds which, in the hands of a skilled player will beat it 9 out of 10 times, its not perfect, but if a hit lands, its usually a 1hit ko.

Zerkers can own most pub melee games, and occassionally beat the best of the best barbs and pallies, but you gotta be patient with them. I've built two zerkers (one with base str, had 7.2k life, 10k zerk; my latest build has 6k life and 12k zerk), and I'm extremely happy with the results. Of course, you'll need to get your hands on 3-xx-xx charms of vita to be effective. But anyways, I believe that you'll need to get as much IAS as you can manage (125% ias bp); otherwise, you won't last against zealots (your worse enemies).

hey dysor whats your zerkers name and are you on useast cause i am plus i might have dueled you i knew a barb that i dueled all the time with mass life and he was a zerker barb we always had close duels and usually i won lol p/r :surprise:

I'm on USEast, yes. My barb's name is heroside. I've dueled so many people in so many games that it seems that when I enter a new melee game, they seem to know me. I actually lied about my old zerker's life. He really has 7.6k life. :surprise: My new one has 6.2k.

I'm actually thinking of remaking yet again.. this time with ed/ias 08 arreats.

ive thought about the build and yes sadly i did the pen and paper but all my chars on pen and paper usually come out decent lol. i thought about getting really really crappy low strength gear with a really good block shield mostlikely ss. but leaving base strength with a 4 socket ed/ias armor and like a phase blade with 4 eths and 2 edias jewels i never thought about how it would work so i said ill try it sometime lol and having mass 3-xx-xx scs an anni and maybe 08 arreats lol but that was in a dream i had. wonder if it will work.

Even with low str gear, and a 20 stat anni, you'll still need to put quite a bit of points in str. Remember, ss is 156 str, and 08 arreats doesn't give any str or dex at all.

well i have some nifty charms i found the other night 5 str and 15-20 lifescs :) so im really likeing this also i found a couple 2 dex 15 life scs maybe it will work i dunno lol
