1). Since Tornado is physical, can you block it?
2). Since Tornado is physical, does DR help against it?
3). Since Tornado is physical, will higher def. help against it?

1)only dual claw assassins can block tornado

I just wanted to add that curses like decrep and weaken do NOT affect nados either.

I'd in turn like to add that if a target is decrepified when hit by tornado, it will receive more(50%?) damage than normally. If the druid is decrepified then tornado's output damage isn't affected.
