This is up to personal preference in my opinion. It also depends on what you have on W switch. For exmaple you might want to use CTA/Lidless for extra Life/Skill, and then to switch to Hoto/SS. Or you may want to use Hoto/SS with dual Claws for trap laying on your switch. Or dual Claws with CTA/Lidless.

Personally I would go Hoto/SS and dual Claws (as I duel in private games where CTA isn't allowed).

Depends what Character you're duelling, and also how much Res/DR you get from the rest of your gear.

For Ele Chars. you'll want Max Res + Stacked Res, or Absorb, or both.
For Melee Chars. you'll want max DR.

If you go Hoto/SS then you may be able to use BoS instead of Fade, as it should supply you with good Res. and DR, which is generally better on Trappers in my opinion.

I would go Hoto/SS with dual Claws on switch for trap laying, this should give enough DR and Res. to allow you to use BoS. This is all hypothetical as I don't actually have a Trapper (gogo Hybrid) and I can't add your Res/DR up, or work out your BP's, because I dont know the rest of your gear :p .

Fcr Ring
2Trap 20 fcr 40 life 15 dex 16 resist helm i'll add 15resist / 7 fhr to that
and maras
I have 8 trap gc w life and 2 with fhr

What Armour ?

Your gear is very heavily FCR based, so what you may want to do is go Hoto/SS and dual Claw. Put a Shael(s) or nice IAS jewel(s) in your primary Claw for faster Trap laying, then switch to Hoto/SS for the DR, and FCR for MB.

203 Dex for Max Block at LvL 90 if I remember correctly.

With regards to Block, when choosing between C/C and C/S, there is alot of dis-agreement on the forum about whether C/C or C/S is better. C/S does Block various Elemental attacks that a Shield cannot, however there is dis-agreement as to the % chance to block using C/S when running.

I would advise you to search for these discussion threads, but at the moment it's not working, so here are a few I can readily find (i'll add as I see more):
