is rushing alone possible?

hi, i wonder if rushing a character on my own is possible. :scratch: and if so, how would i do that? for your information, i just have one computer and one copy of the game. thx! :howdy:

What lvl are you gimme information about your char.

If you mean rushing yourself? Well yes you can.

It's more or less possible, although you won't be able to do boss-quests and such:

- Host a game with your low-lvl character
- Stay in the game for 5 minutes to 'perm' it on the server
- Leave, come back with your lvl 90 sorc
- Kill everything in, for example, River of Flame or Claw Viper Temple
- Come back with low level char to complete the Hellforge quest, or pick up the Viper Amulet

You will need all the waypoints and everything with both characters, but at least you'll be able to help your low lvl character with the high lvl one.

easiest way: 2 cd keys. you do need a char that can solo hell in a 2 player game.

Not really. You can clear out the levels like everyone said with a higher character. But you're not going to be able to kill the bosses once you get to them.

my question was actually about the bosses. to be more precise can i
- perm the game with the low lvl char
- leave the game
- enter with the high lvl char
- clear the act and kill the boss with the high lvl char
- leave the game
- enter with the low lvl char
- and proceed to the next act with the low lvl char? :scratch:

Yes and no...

If you kill the boss with your high level character, you cannot move on to the next act. Your quest screen will say "you cannot complete this quest." The one exception to this is Duriel. Killing Duriel is not the quest, talking to Tyrael is. So you can use a high level character to kill duriel, just make sure you DONT talk to Tyrael.

All other act bosses, the best you can do is to get them down to low HP, then quit, then have your low level character kill them.

I quite frequently do that with characters who are underleveled or having trouble with some bosses, they start the game and clear to the boss to pass the 5 minute timer, leave the game, in comes hammerdin, I sliver the boss then leave, and bring the other toon in to finish em off.

Maybe a total newbie can help out a half-newb. I just posted a question about rushing people as a way to jump into online play if you're interested. I've got a level 33 barb and could rush you up to Baal for some exp. if you wanted. I play Ladder East at night...
