Unless I all of a sudden get some unexpected money and time I do not see me getting WoW. More likely going to get Gw since it is further down the road and should overall be less expensive to play and is just as fun.

its killing the dia servers ~~ wouldnt play it on principle... blizz trying 2 wipe out dia ... fight the system!

unless ofc today's lag is an unconnected occurence; which will be fixed nothing to do with WoW etc.. but i doubt it :grrr:

Really, I paid like 50$ for Diablo. That ain't free to me.

WoW is a lot better, although I fear I won't have time to play it (maybe in minimal amounts, will it justify the monthly fee though, hm?)

Hmmm Blizzard, let's see.

In the short time I have been playing Diablo I have had to contact Blizz 3 times. The first time I naively waited patiently on the customer service line (phone) and after around 30 mins got someone. I got the feeling they thought I was just another 12 year old and therefore the person was not only very rude but also put me back on hold which resulted in my call being "dropped". Yeah, they hung up on me.

The other two times, which I posted about on here I had accounts on non-ladder that were essentially outdating my chars for no reason. I did get confirmation emails from Blizz and then not a word after. Never resolved.

Blizzard have gotten a little too comfortable in themselves and have the worst sense of customer service I have ever come across.

Will I be giving them access to my credit card? NO. If something went wrong and I was double-billed or something for one month I have no confidence that they would be capable of resolving the problem

Would I trust them to take care of me as a paying customer if I had a game related problem? NO again. You may think that things will be different as you will now be paying money every month but I think you are going to find nothing changes. Unless they put out a press realease stating they are hiring a crap-load more people to man the phones, etc... I think you guys are in for a rude awakening.

I completely agree. Blizzard makes some of the best games of all times. A few years ago I was a die hard fan and blizz could do no wrong.

First, they let d1 get hacked beyond belief. They promised d2 would be better. I bought d2 on the assurance the realms would be hack free. Now I am being asked to buy a new game and pay 12 a month for the same service? nt

They can't fulfil thier promises, the business side of the company needs a serious audit, and they need to realize you can only jerk people around so many years. Yes, the game designers do a great job, but the tech support, quality control, marketing, and business planning people need to be replaced.

Sometimes I wonder if being part of Vivendi has anything to do with it. The large outflow of some of their best talent also worries me. Is this a case of rats leaving a sinking ship? I have a feeling the WoW might turn into a make or break game for Blizzard, especially with regards to the customer service. Are they going to do like Sony did with EQ and try and control ebay selling of items for WoW? Or are they going to do like with d2, which is basically nothing.
