best option vs smiter is either 2h botd or 2*1h botd & use shaft as armor cause you will need the dmg reduce

i'm using barb with eth botd gpa myself & works pretty well vs smiters :D

Like Dahmer said, max dmg reduce and if possible 2handers for the range. If you can't go 2handed, dual weild botd+something else. Example: Beast, Doom, Fury, BotD, DeathCleaver etc. Be SURE to have max dmg reduce, you'll need it.

Yesterday I ran into another pure smite pally in a pub. Upped HoZ, astreons etc etc. First time we duelled, I was still wearing my anti caster setup, with only Storms dmg reduce. I got slaughtered. When I switched to BotD+Storm+verdungoes+angelic set (aka, max dmg reduce and high ar) he still won, although I hit him hard too (he was using Draculs, but the lifetap didnt trigger :D). I switched to BotD+Fury BA+Shaft+verdungo, and suddenly I killed him!

fury+doom is the best i think
you cripple smite with doom (down to 2 att/sec i suppose) and give the kiss of spider with fury, let it bleed and then frag him! right handed weapon(left slot) must be fury i dont know if ww takes the second slot ar secretly but it's not shown on the screen, safer also ;)

Herald Of Doom you mentioned that dual wielding and max PDR is the key. The Smieter you duelled got upped HoZ the most smiters I meet has Eth Kurast Exile et cetera, I personally think they are a pain to kill :(, and the life tap does trigger out fast thx too I-Hate-You-So-Much RW Exile. What strategy to use against Doom, CTA, Exile, 10 skillers and Coa using Smiters?

The smiters I have most trouble with wears 1.09 Tal armor and the so called Bug Belt thats =40-45 PDR% and Coa so no matter the stas of Coa they have max PDR.

Well, it depends on what you do. Most serious pvp circles consider Doom to be bad manners, so that's out if you want to play with REAL pvpers. If you're just doing public and don't care about manners though, doom/botd with dracs/duress for open woulds will tear up pretty well. Of course, Fury/Duress/Drac's would insure Open Wounds on every hit, so you could probably get some easy kills like that.

i use range 5 botd, works ok against smiters, get killed sometimes but still get most wins :D

CoA + Beast + BOTD + Dracs + Verdungos + Gores + Angelics
Add enchant if they are exile pallys.
You will win most duels vs smiters if you have at least 5k life.
To always win you could prebuf with WC weps then switch to a widowmaker (trigger CB and OW, can do decent damage--deadly strike). Throw in leap and the pally will probably never win. They will probably run to town and call you a noob for using widowmaker, but then againt smiters on East use exile and BO so ignore em.

I use gaze (can't afford coa) ver,dracs,botd,beast,highlords,dual raven or angelics. don't ww straight through them try to ww them from the side and make sharp turns around them, I can kill a lot of range2 smiters without getting hit that way. If you get life tapped or amped run away if they try to charge just ww away and they'll get hit hard by ww while they are running. Also ww away when you are losing if you dont' wanna die and most of them will follow and get killed.

Yeah, and if they catch on and sit there shift smiting, use a widowmaker on them, and when they go to charge you, wpn switch real quick and ww away.

Ya Hatesmaphack is correct. Ww though a smiter will get you killed. In pub games most smiters/zealers will suck and not know how to duel. Ww from the side a couple of times to see their wep range and see if you can hit them. If you hit them and ow triggers stall and let ow kill them. If they are low on life they will probably do what mehatesmh says and follow you. So ww away from them and watch them die. This strat also works for zealers.

Its not really the equip you use but how you ww at them imo.
