With literally some last minute changes we kicked off with:

I was seriously blown away by the enthusiasm and exitement of the members of this new party. The energy was basically leaping out of my monitor....and monsters must have felt that too. Apart from a brief crisis in the Prison level, where two members fluxxed, we just breezed through the game.
Be it Bloodraven, Treehead, the Smith, Andariel or even Radament, we vanquished them all. Our momentum even carried us all the way to the Far Oasis and Maggot Lair.
And if that was not enough...we even stayed pretty well together as a group. Ladies and gents, I expect great things from us :winner:

Did some countess runs afterwards to get me a steel flail and lo and behold.. a random boss in marshes drops a gull dagger. :thumbsup: I haven’t found one in any of the 1.10 seasons.

Hehe...I programmed it with my l33t HTML skillZ 3 years ago.....but the ideas how to do it properly went over my head and it requires the time and skills that I don't have.

Those are characters I worked on. At least Rasmus Klump or Rasmus Nalle, however he is called should be familiar with the folks from Skandinavia. I directed a TV cartoon series with him and his friends a few years back together with a director from a danish studio.
Now you know more about me than you want to :lol:
Had a blast - of course :)
Now I gots me a Steel Flail, Stealth Chainmail and on the way to the countess some critter dropped me a Pelta Lunata. Andy (trying to level the merc here...) dropped me a nagelring.
Also have about 4 Tirs lying about still, as well as some other low runes.
Det - on a sidenote, if you ever come up with a better idea of how to do your site, I might be willing to help you out =]
I have an idea for sure. It involves the page that I linked above, where I am sitting in the middle of the critters I have drawn.
A visitor to the page should be able to click them and be taken to a seperate window with infos and storyboard samples.
I have tried working with slices in Image ready, but never managed to assemble them correctly in Frontpage (as I am totally useless with Flash)
I have aquired GoLive 6.0, but never had the time/patience to learn it.
The simplest version of a page that I can think of and maybe even assemble myself can be found if you google for "thestoryboardartist" (in case you wonder what a storyboard is :D )
KTA related: I started to lv my merc, but it is too painstaking for me. I think I will just see how long this one lives and get a new defiance guy in hell...

I have a defiance merc now...but they are so painful to level. I expect to get a barbarian in act 5 and decide later if/when to switch. Chances are that I re-hire a new defiance merc in hell. That should be the best choice for me...especially if I ever survive and play my Pally after KTA.
Holy...usually ppl are quite excited after the first outing and run countess a bit. It gets a bit dangerous without the party in NM and we had some casualties then. However, just briefly before I wrote this, I payed a visit to the countess and she dropped a TAL and RAL. Never thought that would be possible, she mostly drops ELs and TIRs, getting a TAL is an occasion.
Anyhow...another Stealth is pretty much waiting guaranteed come Wednesday...

Holy - I doubt your necro needs a lot of Runewords :)
Maybe a Nadir wouldn't go amiss, but I don't tend to bother with anything till Lore (though w/ this pelt I might give that a miss... could try the socketing recipe though).
Stealth seems the only real 'need' for your Necro :)
I've got a Defiance merc now as well. As long as I can get him to lvl 15 now, he'll be okay in Act II and once we hit act III I can level him in act II again.

On a sidenote... I understand what you want with the site det. Just a tip - avoid Frontpage like the plague. It's death too all decent sites.

It was a real blast. Even as a druid summoner I could keep myself busy with recasting my raven. (sort of like a very slow DV)
Hoping countess will drop me the runes for stealth and maybe I'll make Nadir (although the repair cost for the CoS charges would be WAY to high at this moment)
And at the same time I hope it'll lvl my merc (i'm trying to keep her alive till act5. If she's still good enough to keep I'll keep her otherwise I will switch her for barb (even more meatshield)
Leaf (TirRal) might be nice for sorc on switch.
Malice (IthElEth) to prevent monster heal. (but needs life regen to counter the life drain)
Steel (TirEl) is nice (but a bit useless to me. Too low life for frontline and way to low AR at this point)
Strength (AmnTir) for lifeleech and crushing blow. (and a fat STR and VIT boost)

I was feeling a bit like a leech0r tho, because KTA_Seadreamer's damage was incredibly low and she had so many skillpoints left to divide. I'm going to sort it out right now. I'm gonna check out the assassin forums to find out what to do with her.

Well, a pure lightning trapper is strong as it is, though as a dual wielder for more +skills you want 10 or so in clawblock and maybe a decent SM.
The other route, that Baroni once went in KTA is to not have a SM and go all out traps, with Shockweb and the firebombs also maxed out. You can spam them between traps (the ydon't count into the 5 traps penalty) and they also do insane damage with synergies.

Aerath, I will work out a concept, maybe in Photoshop, maybe on paper in the way of what images I would like to have on the site and stuff. The most important bit for me is to link storyboard drawings that I did and I still have not figured a way how to present them best (decent size...2, 3 or even 4 images on screen etc.)
I am taking it slowly though, don't hold your breath..a week may pass before I can mail you something. I probably want the starting page as it is...not sure if you need to redo it since it was indeed made with FP. Oh..and of course I need to mail you some meta tags that I want to have on the starting page header...plus an "Impressum" is legally enforced now in Germany :(
I prefer characters so I can play them outside of KTA as well, apart from that, a SM is the second best tank in the game (Valk is better, due to Dodge/Evade etc).
Prayer merc is useful, though I'd probably switch to a Frosty merc once on NM.

I think my role as sarcastic druid with summons is going quite nice. Bad thing is if I do solo runs they go SLOOOOOOWWWWWW.
And because of some glitch in my browser I'm typing this black on black. Great way to test your blind typing skills...
Hmm...I remember fighting Duriel alone as a summoner took a looooooong time. Good thing I had Fissue on a helm, that helped. But once I had 3 Dire wolves at a nice level, playing a summoner became quite fun. And when Grizzly arrived, together with poison creeper and HoW, supported by me shockwaving (which you don't want to do apparently), it became a viable build.
Never went to hell, though...

Before I got RD, I found greyform, torch of iro, 3 tirs, tal, and some class specific items for almost all of you (sceptre with a lot of skills, necro head with a lot of skills+blocking, wolfhead with ravens and sockets). :clap:

Eurymone: Usually the 2 most powerful KTAer get the Baalquest alone (usually involves a sorc to static him down and whoever has the most damage...both under BO of course), then they create the next games and one of the KTAers who doesn't have the quest yet kills.

I got myself a nice prayer merc and did some Countess runs because everyone is doing those apparently :uhhuh:. I made myself a Stealth armor (yay). I found a lot of Preserved Heads by the way, my stash is filled with teh horrible-looking items (hopefully Holy Grail will take them away, if you can't use them sell them plz :D). I divided all the skillpoints I had left and practised playing the assassin some. It's pretty cool being an assassin!

It looks like you've gone off to a great start. A quite melee-centric party, what with all the summons, being able to hit anything due to Conviction, and hit it hard through Fanaticism (after a 50% life reduction from Static). I can only imagine how fast Power_play will swing with Frenzy on top of Fanaticism's speed. Not for the slow reflex types among us.
Anyway, I trust that the older generation will suitably train the young padawans.

Yeah, I think KTA 8.0 broke all the speed records. After 2 sessions we secured already the City of the Damned wp in act 4. One or the other would probably have liked to kick Diablo right here and there...but oh well...Monday will see to that and maybe even to the demise of Baal.
Funnily, dolls or gloams didn't hurt me at all (75 block, 75 light res might have helped, I dunno?)...it was them Shamans with Inferno that posed a couple of occasions where my red ball dropped to 50%
No screenies from me last night...I was simultanious watching the German Football Cup on Telly with a friend, but if anybody needs his screenies hosted, you can mail 'em to me.

I don't know about you guys, but I will definitely MF'ing Countess/Council and RoF (means we can do it together maybe for safety?).
I need some serious cash to gamble and/or buy me a high def armour. 62% chance to get hit by Urdars is not good, even with lv 4 HS :(

Found a few decent items (Gorefoot, though Eth. Stormguild and a Shadowfang).

That does indeed sound like a great circlet for an AVENGER :lol: Imagine the 17-34 added to each of my 5 zeals.

Why not use Holy Thunder till then? (EthRalOrtTal. Do act5 Q2 and this weapon is as good as made ;))

Council smoked my merc good, but they could not resist my l33t zeal. Walked down alone to Meph and whacked him good.
He didn't cough up anything though :(
BTW...if any of you have experiences with Zealots, please share them. Otherwise I go the usual route of trying out any rare I find, with the emphasis on sceptres and flails...as they are the fastest weapons. Axes seem to be favoured by many ppl as well...hammers just seem very slow.
I went to the Pally forum asking for a bit of advice, but my thread got ignored. Later I checked out their "Best weapon for a Zealot" thread. Waded through all the talk of ZODs, Eth perfect D Cleavers, BotD weapons etc etc..and knew why nobody responded. I think the word "untwinked" (among others) is just missing in their vocabulary :lol:

I don't mind switching to another merc (sorry Neeraj). But before I do so, what kind of merc would be best? And who's gonna keep the prayer merc?

Why did you all buy Prayer mercs?
Anyhow, mine is defiance..but I am afraid he will be a total looser one day. I don't think I have the energy to level him :( . So I might just buy a new one in hell. Seems defence is what I need most.
No Act 3 merc will ever hold up with our Blizzard, Fire Claws or Traps. That leaves pretty much 1 defiance, 1 Prayer, 1 HF, 1 Might for sure.
Barbs are tough tanks...and maybe a Thorns merc is not that bad..we have loads of summons and melees who are gonna get hit anyway...lets return some damage :D .
BA seems superflous as we will have Conviction and Fana...

I am going to get me a might merc in nm to spice up the damage a bit, soo i dont think i am going to level this one any serious.
I dont think it matters if we have 2 of the same kind but not 4....:teeth:

That's first, and second - we need to change every time we TP to town - new items, new gems giving nice colours :lady:
About mercs: like Nexexplo, I bought my prayer merc only because of his level. As a sorc I should probably go defiance, so I'll try to lvl the normal difficulty guy. I definitely need a meatshield, tanking in front of me, so no way I buy any act 3 merc now.

Hm..I finally got to lv my merc and with the help of a nice static sorc from GAT actually got him up to lv 21 (almost 22) when I screeched to a halt. Reason being I was only a sliver away from levelling up myself to 28.
Seeing that about 4 other KTA members were in the game, I feel we have some pretty exitement here...and we all can hardly wait to play on monday. So maybe we should raise the lv restriction a tiny little bit to....28?

I think Aerath got Defiance.
I had a barb merc once. He was very quick..... to get into trouble.
To me he has the most stupid AI in the game.
I hope you like him better than me.
BTW...if any of you have experiences with Zealots, please share them. Otherwise I go the usual route of trying out any rare I find, with the emphasis on sceptres and flails...as they are the fastest weapons. Axes seem to be favoured by many ppl as well...hammers just seem very slow.
Played a Frost Zealot a while ago. Look for Kitiara's thread on the subject... there's some decent mid level gear mentioned in there. Black was one of the favoured options, as was a Crescent Moon.
And aye, I'm using a Defiance merc. Makes the most sense for a Bear.

O yes please please please PLEASE raise the lvl limit.... I can't play anymore (so can't do hellforge because I was told not to :grrr: ) because of the current lvl limit.
And barbmercs are just like the necro's skellies. Suicidal.
With some big differences, big life, big AR and a badass sword.
Just use them as you would do a real player barb. Just let them have the big bad sword and let them run into the frontline (to get killed) while you are safe and sound (way) behind him.

Yep I also did the HF quest. I got flawless diamond, perfect skull, flawless amethyst, sapphire, tal rune... All one could ask for & more :lol:
Raising the lvl limit seems like a good idea.
I've been training my merc some, he's doing fine...so yea I'm gonna stick with my prayerguy :uhhuh:

What the heck is going on with B.Net atm btw ? Massive duping or something ? Thing is as dead as something that's been dead for a long time (I know, real good comparison there, but it'll suffice).

I found isenhart armor (twice) and helm which are both on my merc at the moment.
And first jewel we find is mine :o (I need to craft me some safety boots because I'm still bootless and need some hefty fire res :o)
Once we have Shenk it should be much easier to lv my merc. Will make myself a poor mans MF armour and helm as well...(from ordinary Topazes and chipped ones I guess...)
The eth Twitch is on my merc and so is the unique trident we found. Now we just need some nice stuff for NM...

FYI, i might be late to the session due to some RL obligations. But if it is okay with you to do diablo again when i join and just give me the wp's up to where you are i'll manage the lvling myself until next session.
Else i can pm Det my account // password so if someone could just have him in game to get the quests.

I visited www.battle.net/support/errormessages and checked the info. I did what the site told me to do but it didn't work.
I got that several times today, but I just retried and it worked...
