After all this time of visting this forum i decided it was time for me to give back to the site that has given me so much help. So i pony up the 50$ and become a gold pal for the next 6 months. Question is how long before my status is changed ? Do I have to contact anyone or is it done automatically?

Everyone should become a PAL its not exspensive at all and there are options if you dont have a credit card

Mine was changed right away - I did the paypal though so maybe that was it?

If you don't get your gold G by the end of the day I would maybe pm Elly (that is always the answer on the pal forums so I guess it works)

I used Paypal as well with my credit card. If I dont hear anything by the end of the day I ll do as you suggested Cy. Thanks

I wanna become a Pal, but I have no monies, and I doubt they take piddly little Canadian money anyways. :p

usually you need to harass Elly a bit to get her attention. Shes a very busy woman.

GZ on that. 50$ was just a bit too steep for me, so I took the next best on the list...for the same reasons as you did :D

Now the question...do you get asked to renew your pal-ship shortly before the term expires or do you have to remind yourself about it?

In Pay Pal Germany you can use the option for having the money being drafted from your bank account. Worked like a charm....
