PK advise

Hi there people,

Yesterday my nice fire sorc died and now i'm thinking about what i shall do next... Make a new char to get that into the ladder?? Or shall i make a PKer for the first time. I'm really considering a PKer but do wanna know a couple of things first...

First whats the motive for a PKer and second what kinda build is the best for first PK build. I was thinking about a couple of builds. First a charge pala and second a hydra sorc.

Hope u people can help me out here with my questions. O and pls if u have a suggestion about a build or one of the above.. pls help me with what skills to use and what gear would be nice but does not cost more than a pul a item.

Come to the dark side my son...
I made a 16 charger as my first PKer and I found that this is a very easy way to get lots of ears. Check out the sticky on pking and you should find most of your questions answered about gear and what not.
I think that hydra would be a bit hard to do as you will be a very high level in order to get lots of damage and remember hydras disappear when you go to town. I suppose if you loaded up on the skill charms it could work, but there's just so many other better pk options imo.

Don't make a hydra sorc. I used to love dodging hydra breath while waiting for the right moment to 1 hit KO the sorc with a charger or a barb.

First of all make enchantress to boost your characters VERY fast. Of course if you can run two games on 1 PC (d2loader or modified d2gfx.dll - both considered as "soft" cheats, well) or have 2 PCs and additional cdkey. Pking means you will die, today or tomorrow, coz there is always someone better :) So dont waste your time exping like in normal gameplay.

I think first he need to build javazon, to do cow runs and equip pk chars with lots of charms. Blizz/fire/orb sorc for finding those special low lvl items and of course pk char itself :D I suggest firstly to make thing that is easy to handle and is able to "kill" , and only after that experiment with those jabbers leapers kickers and such exotic stuff

gah. a shenkrunner will do. dont bother with an enchantress, I NEVER have problems levelling up chars with even crap gear.

Aight... well i'm not a beginner at HC as my post might asume... I do am new to the whole PK thingie... The lvling for the beginner lvl's i dont mind.. just play with some of my m8's and it will be high enough within a hour (+/- lvl 24). Finding stuff will not be a problem.. Just find some higher stuff and go trading... My lvl 93 strafer will find some nice things in the pit to trade away :D

My idea now is to make a Charger. This is how i will do it (found out reading arround).

Skills :
lvl 1-10 skillpoints into might
lvl 11 skillpoint into smite
lvl 12 skillpoint into charge
lvl 13-23 skillpoints into might
lvl 24 skillpoint into prayer
1 skillpoint from den of evil into cleansing
1 skillpoint from sewers into vigor
2 skillpoints from izual into vigor

Stats:
Str : 70
Dex: Base
Vit : rest
Energy : Base

Gear:
Duskdeep
Bonesnap 300%
Twitchtroe
Bloodfist
Treads of Cthon
Hsarus belt

2 skills in vigor + prereq=4 skills in charge, same dam output but a tad more ar.


ditch dusk for 3 sock pruby helm, get 4 sock pruby armor
use sanders boots for 40% run/walk, 5 str 10 dex and 100 AR (basically 10 dex=40 more ar for you, and 5 str=15 life).
get 2nd angelic ring as mana steal is utterly pointless nowadays in pvp and get another huge ar boost (12*24 extra).

at 24 you can use some shopped 40-50 life belt, way more life than a hsarus belt, or even a nice rare.

this setup will net you ohhh another 300 life and mebbie 2k ar. miss=no damage after all.

The 14 max jewels will be good into a helm. Get a 3 socket mask put the 2x jewels in there and maybe another perfect ruby. Then put 4 perfect rubies into a 4 socket gothic plate.

If you Want to be level 30, then definitely use an upgraded bonesnap. Much better charge weapon than ribcracker. And at level 30 you use string of ears.

Hsarus' belt with Hsarus' boots is a nice combo for even more +AR, though.

ps. Anybody ever build a level 42 Blizzard pk sorc? I found a +2 sorc, +3 blizzard, 20%fcr orb last night and it's only lvl 42 and it got me wondering... about the dark side...

level 42 bliz would work... forget about Eshield since its a lot of extra points that could be going into bliz synergies.

All points should go into blizzard and synergies. THe best setup is probably max bliz/max iceblast, rest into ice bolt. Your primary skill is blizzard, secondary is ice blast. Heres a possible setup to consider....

Sigons shield, dual stones (if you can afford), skins of the viper, peasent crown or +2 cold circlet, +2 cold amulet.
Charms would be cold skills if you are that rich... random craptacular life charms if not :P
