Hi,
It's my first time playing hardcore and I'm starting a werewolf druid. I'm wondering if this is a viable build for hardcore or if will it get so hard that it won't be enjoyable ? I'm playing exclusively with a zeal pally.
Thanks for your advice.

I've had 2 lvl 80+ werwolves and although all melee classes are now much harder, they are certainly still viable.
The pally's fanat will help and you should get holy freeze and might mercs. If you can find a ribcracker and upgrade it, go for it. You may need to use a shield for resists until you get some good gear if playing untwinked.
Getting oak sage or grizzly is a personal preference. I like the bear because sage dies very quickly in hell.
WW Druids are one of my favorites. Load up on cb/ds and he'll be fine.

Forgive my ignorance but what is cb/ds ? Thanks.
I was thinking of going with werewolf, lycanthropy and fury all maxed as main skills.

cb = crushing blow
ds = deadly strike
My werewolf in season one wore ik set - helm. Jalal's for helm. highlords, ravenfrost, carrion wind.
The carrion wind bug with rabies is not too useful IMO. hardly ever used it. wasted 20 skill points. lol.
Max lync, oak, fury, maybe 10 or so in werewolf. I found ravens to be useful (blinds enemies). also used wolves as meat shield. I found the defensive (defiance) merc with reapers to be useful.
They are definitely viable in hell. I found that I could solo easily. No problem with any immunes. Chaos is a prob as with all melee. Maybe a passion on switch (berserk) for IM...
Good luck. :clap:

It gives you lvl 21 posion creeper which is a synergy for rabies. By maxing rabies, you can get some impressive damage. I tried it but found that I didn't need it much since I had 4K+ fury.
