View Full Version : Who's "pit"?
I know he's a superunique monster, but I don't know where to find him or what his full name is. Anyone know offhand?

I'll assume you are refering to THE pit. The Pit is a cave in the act 1 where the treasure classes allow the monsters inside to drop just about anything in the game. To my knowledge there is no unique monster by the name of Pit.

You assume "he" is a super unique monster because you more than likely have heard of "Pit Runs". This in fact refers to the place "The Pit" in the tamoe highlands, like Dragon said.
The closest super unique "pit-sounding-name" monster is Pindleskin in Act V. But I'm pretty sure you mean "The Pit".
A good place to run. Mlevels are the highest in the game and you can get pretty good stuff there - found me The Cranium Basher, once :)
You can learn more about the pit here (http://strategy.diabloii.net/news.php?id=532).

Maybe not, but definitely 'truly exceptional'.

remember i does only count in hell difficulty
pitruns are of no value in normal and nightmare diff.

i wouldnt say no value, because there is always a chance for something to drop. however, it is inefficient, because there are better areas of similar difficulty to Norm or NM pits.
