Which of these 3 for making Crescent Moon?

Which would be best for making Crescent Moon in for a zealot? Cryptic Sword, Berserker Axe, or Phase Blade? Also if I find one of these and its not superior is it not worth it to do? Also in your opinions is CM or LS better?

Well BA has a weapon speed of 0 range 3 which requires 65IAS to hit 4fps zeal
Cryptic Sword is -10 range 2 which needs 45IAS
Phase Blade is -30 range 2 which neeeds 15IAS

I guess it really depends on your other gears.. but I would go with the Zerker and ull need 45IAS more to hit last frame with that.

Phases lack of dmg , BA is too slow ...

By all means, I'll be the lone ranger and say I'd go with Phase Blade. My Assassin uses a Phase Blade and she rocks with it. It's really fast, and as a Zealot, you can easily get that sucker to hit static field quite a few times in a matter of seconds. So, I don't see why most don't go with it besides it's lack of damage. Has everyone forgot that it has no durability and that means you will not have to repair it at all. HEHE! So that's what I feel would be the best, and that's what I'd use if I made a Zealot.

Most often the use of Crescent Moone is used not because of the physiclal damage it provides but because of other mods such as static field or - % to enemy lighting resistance etc.

You are speaking of making a zealot ! Ok what type of zealot? Fanatic zealot or a Tesladin? If you are making a Tesladin then the phase blade is your best choice since it will allow you to reach 4 FPS zeal break point without too much trouble. If you do it in a BA, it's almost impossible to reach the 4 FPS break point since without the help of fanaticism you need a Total of 200 ias which is very unpratical. BTW, BA requires 60 % ias to reach 4 fps not the 65 % indicated by the tables on this forum. It's a mistake that has been there for a very long time and never was corrected.


If you're making a fanatical zealot then go with a BA but in my opinion there are plenty of much better weapons then that. Simply put, the % ed provided by this rune word is simply too low to be interesting for a fanatical zealot. If I were you, I wouldn't use a superior weapon to make a rune word for a zealot unless the rune word in question includes the indestructible mod.(which is not the case for CM) Why you may ask? Well it's pretty simple, superior items have indecently high repair costs and you can go broke rather rapidly. It's especially true for a zealot.

LS is not a bad weapon in itself but you may find its damage unsufficient when you it hell. If you are not too rich and don't have acess to high end weapon, try to get a Bstar. I like it better than an LS.

My basic idea of an efficient Fanatical Zealot is pretty simple, use the highest damage weapon you can find, reach the 4 FPS zeal break point and try to get as much crusing blow and deadly strike as possible.
