Puzzled - No hits during PvP against a Paladin

I was in PvP game last night, fighting what I think was a pure FOH paladin as he never used charge or smite.

I could not see any of his gear due to him using the strength bug.

But I could'nt get even I hit in, missed him on every WW, he did tell me he had around 17k defence and his level was around mid eighties and my barb is lvl 92.

I even change my equipment and so I had around 20K AR for WW, plus I was using a BOTD BA

Can anybody shed some light onto why I could'nt even get 1 hit in. I tried to fight him around 6 or 7 times but not one hit. :scratch: :scratch:

well, reading some like this makes me think back of a paladin my gf once duelled that killed her smiter with 1 hit (also smite) she used pala with 1.9k life & max dmg reduce & no matter what gear u use or what skills u use its not possible to do that much dmg :s

& then she asked him to show gear & that guy had a "lovely" upgraded eth zaka without the def bug, had over 8xx def & for some unknown reason it did insane dmg

really ****** me off hearing of something like that :rant:
also hope she misread or anything cause zaka like that, well, bleh :(

& no she didnt think of taking screenshot :(

It is actually, but I don't think it's possible with a one handed weapon....someone correct me if I'm wrong there.

Pure Chargers can do upwards of 23k damage with the right EBotD, but only with a 2 hander (I think)...and 23k damage after 50% DR and the PvP penalty is still ~1955 damage.




@F_D: Only thing I would say would be either there's something he wasn't telling you, he was abusing some form of bug, or you just had really crappy luck :( Hope someone can shed some more light on this than myself.

yeah, i know thats possible, but he wasnt using charge, 1 smite & my gf's smiter was dead :s

Well, I'd honestly be dumbfounded to see a 23k smite...even taking DS into account..that'd have to be at least 11k...wow. Hacked or Bugged or something.
